Nice location- right next to the bus stop and quick walk to downtown area and the beach. Room was spacious and comfortable. Water was hot. Quiet at the time- would stay again
Parfait pour se reposer. Hostal tranquille situé à 2min du terminal bus-sur et tout près du centre et d’une grande épicerie. Matelas confortable, bonne pression de douche, beaucoup d’eau chaude et chauffage partout. Petit déjeuner inclus avec les chambres privées. Accès à une corde à linge pour sécher vos vêtements. Très propre. Plus de chance d’y rencontrer des travailleurs que d’autres voyageurs donc pas pour les party people.
Ok. Not worth the price, not clean enough
David was very nice and helpful! When our flight got in late, he stayed up to let us in the Hostal for check in. There’s a nice breakfast included for private rooms, which consisted of cheese and meat with yogurt. Great location near restaurants and walkable to the water. Safe, clean, hot water for showers and very quiet for travelers.
David was a wonderful host. The included breakfast was delicious and accommodations were clean and lovely!
Great place to stay for a night or two. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The free breakfast is nice. It was a bit too hot in my room for my liking. Save on energy and turn the heat down. The staff is very nice!
Tenho que destacar David e seu hostel. Após imprevistos, eram 23h de um domingo e nos encontravamos sem hospedagem em Punta Aredas e David nos recebeu como um pai, nos ajudou de todas as formas !!! Uma recepção 10 !!
Super place
Enjoyed a comfortable, clean stay as a solo traveler. The hostel itself was quiet during my stay. A nice place to rest while stopping through Punta Arenas. Staff was easy to communicate with. Would certainly recommend!
I had a great stay at Hostal Ayelen! The staff was exceptional and kind, making the experience even better. Great value for the price! Would recommend to travelers looking for a well-located and reliable stay.

Strange spot. There’s a whole BNB in the front that is empty and the hostel you book thru Hostelworld is at the very back, through an outside corridor and in another building that is poorly heated. Cash only. No one at reception past midnight. The door will lock you in your room so you have to leave it open. The shower head explodes when you turn it on and the bathroom door does not lock. No lockers either. The kitchen is maybe the only nice part about the place. That and the staff.

Very, very bizarre place. Reception is rarely staffed and most people weren’t sure how to pay or who to talk to. The owner seems friendly, but also will keep you up until 3 am trying to host parties with guests. None of the doors lock or shut all the way. It’s all very strange. I think the high rating is relative to the lack of options in the area. The location is great, otherwise, don’t expect much at all. Good for a night on your way elsewhere.

The dorm is situated in the backyard of a hotel. We had a 4 bed dorm and the room is just indecently tiny. Two people cannot be standing there at the same time, not to speak about your bags. It felt more like a train compartment. The bad sheets were not changed - they smelled and there was a hair on my pillow. You cannot open a window in the room, since it’s blocked by the bed. No towels, the bathroom door doesn’t close. You cannot pay by card. No common area, the kitchen was rather...
Very nice host!
The place was more than wonderful!!!! We showed up on a late night flight and they opened the door for us at 4 am! The next day they helped us plan a day of sight seeing and food around the city. They also allowed us to do laundry there. Then the last day of our stay they let us keep our bags there all day so we could shop and then booked us a taxi to the airport and helped us with the currency exchange and even helped us when we ran out of pesos to pay for the taxi. I highly recommend here!!!!
