A very comfy and nice place to stay.

Lovely hostel in a ideal location for skiing with a 15 min walk to the gondola. Steve was very warming and informative, made me feel at home. Breakfast was lovely. Rooms very cosy and clean. Will definitely return one day.

Have never felt this well looked after in a hostel before. The owners are so lovely and great to chat to. They make a great breakfast in the morning & give good recommendations. They really make you feel cared for! I was in a private ensuite dorm which was amazing for the price. If I come back to Bansko, I will definitely come back to Le Retro.

We had a fab stay here for our ski trip. Stephen and team were really attentive, friendly, and very hospitable! Everyone we met at the hostel was friendly and there was a really nice cosy vibe to it. The room was lacking locks/lockers and curtains, but Stephan kindly kept our dorm just to our group. They also made us sandwiches to take to avoid the long gondola queue. Overall we were really pleased with the hostel and would definitely be back!

Really nice hostel with a chilled out vibe. Steve was great and clearly cares deeply for his hostel. Very clean and welcoming and walking distance to the slopes, lots of bars and restaurants. Only complaint is the shower in my room specifically only had a couple of minutes of hot water in the tank at any given time. Would definitely stay again!

I loved everything. I stayed 3 nights. It's a quiet hostel, perfect to relax, work and meet people. The bedroom was really good, with a tiny bathroom inside (really small shower but there was a bigger one we could use near the kitchen). The living room was so cosy, giving the feeling of home. The kitchen had all the essentials. There were several options of breakfast. All of them delicious and I loved that there was several types of milk. I really liked the owner (a simple, respectful, nice man)

Stephen was an amazing and super hospitable owner. Loved the stay in his hostel (which felt more like a homestay experience 😊) There’s a lovely social/common area which was super cosy and a great place to chill and hang out. Highly recommended!

Second time staying here, absolutely class. Great community of travellers, this time we had a private room, but still got to make friends with the people staying in the dorm. Great common area, nice, warm and cozy. Cant wait to come back again some day! Thank you to Stephen and Pawel for a greag stay!

We loved Le retro hostel! Stephen and Plamen were amazing hosts! The room was perfect! with an en suite bath room and rain fall shower. The bed was actually too comfy we struggled to get up in time for breakfast😂 literally couldn’t have asked for more. They went above and beyond to look after us. I have never experienced such a warm and welcoming environment. The owners are so lovely, it’s a home style hostel, great breakfast as well. 10/10 does not do it justice. Definitely the highlight of my time in Bansko and the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at.

Stephen and Plamen were incredible and friendly hosts. I had a wonderful time here for a week, the communal area was very homely and I loved meeting the other guests. I will definitely be back!

great value for money (6 bed) & great hospitality from Stephen & team. 6 bed room was a little bit of a squeeze personally but it is expected of a hostel and can't complain. very cosy compound, highly recommended! will return if i were to be in Bansko again, but i would pay more for the 4 bed room.

Couldn't find a more welcoming, wholesome, beautiful place to stay and host to make bansko a core memory trip. Will 1000% return 🫶 thankyou again and see you next time 😁

Incroyable! L’auberge, très bien située dans le vieux quartier de Bansko, est magnifique. L’accueil est chaleureux, et vraiment hyper gentil. Une super adresse.
