Backpackers hostels Taipei Changchun

Easily the worst hostel i have ever stayed in. The rooms smell damp and the bathrooms have mold everywhere.

lovely staff but barely any other people my age staying there and lots of middle aged men. also there was screaming in the middle of the night which was scary. i liked having seperate women‘s facilities but even so, they weren‘t very clean 😬

Really social hostel, I can recommend it :)

The hostel is okay, the atmosphere is not that great and the staff was quite rude sometimes. No lockers.

Great location. Simple bunk style dorms. Really nice bathroom and shower setup. Overall good deal for the money I spent.

The facilities are good, beds are a good size and comfortable. You get your privacy, and the hostel doesn’t end up as a social one as a result. But if you just want a base in Taipei to walk, get the metro from - then this place is great

La verdad el hostel no me ha gustado. El personal no cumple los horarios de checkin. Tuve que esperar en la calle ya que mi cama no estaba lista. Cuando vuelvo me dicen que me han cancelado la reserva ya que la habitación está inundada. Hacen una cancelación del primer pago y después me lo vuelven a cobrar. Hablé con ellos para que me hiciesen un descuento por los inconvenientes. Y me dijeron que no y a partir de ahí fueron muy poco amables. Sintiéndolo mucho no puedo dejar buena reseña

Exactly what I needed, very comfortable and nice staff.

Odd place. I was here during Chinese New Year 2024 and everything close by was shut. They have free ramen packets which is lovely. Rooms very small though.

Over all was a good experience, the room was a little small but for the price we payed it was good

The toilet was very dirty throughout the day and night. There was no locker to keep your things safely. The staffs in the reception wasn’t friendly, not answering properly when we ask something. Overall, not value for the money. Atleast, the dorm and common area was bit clean.

When this says "Youth Hostel" it means youth. There were a lot of children there. Kind of me for not realizing that. The facility staff were very helpful but the quarters are cramped and the bathroom facilities are kind of - dank? It was not a social vibe when I was there but that may be a factor of the time of year I was there.

I’ve stayed over two weeks here, Good shower&beds and price, not social, the problem is that they put the tables&sofas far from each other like a restaurant, and it’s hard for people to find each other. They focus more on the locals, the wifi is a nightmare when I asked about it the answer was (the wifi limited with some GBs and can finish fast and most of the locals they have sim card so no one need the wifi!!) For two weeks no one asked me to change the sheets!

Good place to stay. Facilities are clean. Walking distance from metro station. Could use some complimentary stuff, like coffee in the morning.

Horrible hostel. Unfriendly staff. The internet is terribly slow and doesn’t always work. A bit dirty ans the worst is the really rude and unhelpful receptionist (guy with glasses) who even threatened to cancel my reservation. The first thing he said was « I really wanted to cancel your reservation! » with a smug face. Well, honestly he should have, so I could’ve stayed in a better hostel with better staff. 0 customer service.

Overall a good hostel, nothing extra ordinary. It was clean, good location, not very social though and sometimes the internet would‘nt work.

A decent hostel in a quiet neighborhood. Cheap, but not much social life. However, my main complaint is that their booking system. They will block the amount you have to pay on your card, even after you have paid. When I arrived, they told me when I pay this hold would be released, but that's not the case. Several messages to the staff yielded nothing, they didn't seem to understand my mails. So now a random hostel is blocking 100€ for no reason at all for a month already. Unacceptable!

A very large place with a more open corridor structure than most places. There is a 9pm curfew which was a little annoying. Wifi in my room was weak. Everything else was good, very easy to find

Clean hostel, near bus stops and there's a YouBike (ÜBike) docking in the street next to the hostel.

Very friendly staff, very clean rooms, excellent atmosphere, very good location
