The Medina Hostel

Super hard to fine, but well worth looking for. Russie, the man behind the desk, is simply the best. Extremely helpful. Right in the middle of old Tangier. One can imagine Indiana Jones easily in the neighborhood. The terrace has a great view And in the evening, when the prayers are being song, puts one in a complete different frame of mind. No other sounds, no traffic, no other noise. Very ancient, very spiritual. I wish I had more time to spend there. I give this hostel a big 10 stars

Es un lugar cómodo, calmado… en cuestión de aseo de la habitación podrían mejorar. Puntualmente en el que me hospede olía mucho a humedad. Las personas que atendían en el hostal muy buenas, amables, cordiales. En general muy bien.

O hostel é bem localizado e conta com uma boa estrutura apesar de simples. Não esperem luxo, mas sim funcionalidade, uma boa cama, banheiro que funciona e um atendimento muito simpático. Fora o café da manhã servido no rooftop com uma Boa Vista. O preço é um excelente custo-benefício, então acredito que terão uma boa experiência.

I wasn't going to give this place 10 stars, but the sweet lady who works here, who served me breakfast, who managed to cheer me up, she is the single reason for my 10 stars. Because, I stayed in Penthouse Hostel in downtown Tangier for 2 months and that place set my standards way too high, I'd stay there instead for the same price and it's within walking distance.

Pretty dirty especially bathroom. But nice Rooftop.

I have been traveling as backpacker in more than 50 countries. and this place was by far my worst experiences. In hostel world say: “24 hours reception” I arrive like around 2 am, and they didn’t let me go inside. I meet some people sleeping in the park. Worst place ever

The stuff (Rachid) who welcomed us was really rude, from the moment we arrived he didn’t open us the door even when he saw us standing on the door of the hostel. I had to call him loudly so he will come and open the door. Then he was already talking to us in very disrespectful way. I didn’t appreciated it. u are locked out if you don’t arrive in certain hour and after 1 am you are no welcome in the terraze anymore! It is closed. I mean this felt more like a prison than a hostel. I left inm...

Calidad precio espectacular. Buen desayuno, la mejor terraza con vistas a la medida de Tanger (también estuve en otros hostels) y el precio más bajo de todos los hostels. ¡Realmente vale la pena!

Excelente ubicacion en la Medina, trato amable y atento de los recepcionistas, camareras y limpieza, ambiente familiar en el que te cuidan, 100X100 aconsejable, muy buena experiencia, mychas gracias.

The dorm I stayed in was very claustrophobic, it smelled bad, plaster was coming off the walls, all the bed lamps were broken, and it was not properly cleaned. The view from the terrace is good, but its best part is obstructed by another building. The staff was friendly and polite.

Désolé pour cet établissement nul. Et ne respecte pas les clients. La femme de ménage est venue à 10h45 pour faire le ménage dans ma pièce à coucher. Et normalement c est prévu qu'on sort de la pièce à 12h. Et aussi pas de rideau trops Clair la pièce, et c est très dérangeant pour continuer à se coucher à 6h de matin qui fait jour déjà. Alors je conseille jamais à remettre mes dedans. Et aussi il ferme à 2h . Nous on est là pour visiter. Cordialement.

The staff were friendly and kind, cleaning daily, with a lovely view in the heart of the old city. I would definitely return.

Muito bom hostel, muito bem localizado dentro da medina de Tanger.

I recently stayed at this hostel and had a mixed experience. The cleanliness left much to be desired; the facilities were quite dirty and not well-maintained. However, the rooftop was a highlight of my stay, offering a nice place to relax and enjoy the view. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay a bit more pleasant. Overall, while the rooftop and staff were great, the lack of cleanliness was a significant downside.

love the place, just a brisk walk to the plage municipal and even closer to petit socco

All the facilities are very old and very dirty in everywhere including dining room, sleeping room, stairs, toilets, etc. There was a free breakfast but just a few plain bread. They never gave me or anybody even one more piece of bread. They are misers or very poor. There is a limitation of the quantity of bread. We can't cook here at all because there is no facilities. There were fleas in beds. So, I scratched all parts of my body for 4 days even after moving out to the next hostel.

Superbe auberge de jeunesse très bien placée au coeur de la médina. Personnel sympathique et attentionné, literie OK et salles de bains propres. Le vrai plus de cette adresse est le petit-déjeuner sur le toit-terrasse, avec une vue magnifique !
