The two old guys that a run this place are in some kind delusional power trip of some kind, especially the older bald headed one. the Kitchen is full of roaches, they have three layer bunk beds with no hand rails, they charged a bogus daily city tax despite the fact that the booking said all taxes were included, and they have the cleaning girl clean the floor before check out time with a vacuum cleaner that is louder than a lawn mower. Won't go into details but I would not recommend anyone stay...

No lo recomiendo. En líneas generales está todo muy dejado. La cocina sucia. Muy sucia. El horno anda mal. Los utensilios sucios .. realmente no es un lugar higiénico. Nuestra habitación era de muy difícil acceso. En ningún momento aclaran eso. La escalera de acceso era súper estrecha. Al extremo de no poder subir con las cosas de forma cómoda. Si medis más de 1.65 te golpeas la cabeza al subir x el techo súper bajo. Y el ambiente no era muy acogedor. Todo muy turbio. Faltar...

Nice hostel in Pocitos. Close to the beach and coastline of Pocitos. I stayed in a 4-person room, which was simple but fine with big lockers - if you stay in the bigger dorm rooms, note that the bunk beds have three beds on top of each other. Really nice and social atmosphere in the hostel - many Spanish speakers. Common area not so big, but nice backyard.

Excellent hostel with great staff. Located near Pocitos beach, very safe. Highly recommended.

Good hostel near beach

BED BUGS :( i had bed bugs in my top bunks, with photos of the bugs, and bites, and 1 of the 2 volunteers told me it was not their problem, and that he just wanted to drink better and smoke cigarettes at 9am, and the other volunteer was also frustrated but couldn't do anything more and said they don't do refunds. this was almost completely men as i was one of 2 other women, and the other boys in my room were also so frustrated and bitten, i hate leaving bad reviews, but this was rough :(

This place seemed promising since it's located in a nice neighborhood. While I saw the staff cleaning regularly, the place always felt dirty. Mold in the shower. Mattresses & pillows were yellow & full of stains. I had to request a new pillow because I saw the one on my bed without a pillow case and it made me gag. At night, my friend got eaten alive by mosquitoes. They talk openly about a man who stays there full time and is known for stealing. Will not refund unused nights. Do not recommend.

Decent hostel, our private room was small but absolutely fine, bathroom upstairs were always clean but downstairs not so much. Be aware there is a nursery next door every single morning we were woken up by very loud children. Unfortunately the atmosphere was very off in the hostel, maybe a crowd of older men let’s say.

Great location! 10 mins to the beach and supermarket! Good atmosphere in hostel too! Loved the outside garden and rooftop areas! Bedrooms were clean and tidy, three bunk beds are too tall with no barrier too! 😬 Three toilets and two showers for the whole hostel which was enough and were kept clean and tidy for our stay. Kitchen was great too with all the facilities needed for cooking. Nice seating too inside and outside in garden area!

Good place to stay in Montevideo

Maybe it was only my impression and I’m use to another tipe of hostel but I really didn’t feel very welcome in this hostel. I loved that it seems like to stay in the house of someone but it was difficult to understand who was working there and to really feel like at home (as the goal of this hostel is I think). Maybe in Sommer you can feel another vibe and not being forced to walk around with your jacket as they live all the doors and windows open. Sorry for this bad comments :(

Very nice hostel in an excellent location. The staff is always available for any questions. Comfortable beds with good privacy.
