Hostel Charruas

I had booked a girls-only dorm, but was placed in a mixed dorm, even after mentioning my reservation type.

Good vibe. Good location. Terrible place to sleep though, as floors are super old and its like an earthquake every time someone walks next to the beds.

Nice hostel, comfy beds (I had both a private and some nights in the dorm). Adequate number of bathrooms, great garden in back for music or just chilling. Very good showers with good water pressure and very hot.

Great place tucked away in a nice neighborhood. There's a farmer's market just down the street on Saturdays. Close to great food, parks, the beach, and more. Was clean, quiet, and with nice amenities. Would recommend!

Le lieu est très cool et avec beaucoup de charme ! L’équipe qui m’a accueilli était très agréable aussi ! Les gros point faibles est la qualité des matelas qui sont très mou et donne mal au dos. L’état des douches est aussi critique. Pas beaucoup d’eau chaude et beaucoup de moisissures.

Charming, friendly, and very willing to make it work for a pair of travelers who messed up their reservation and had very little Spanish. Staff was so helpful in navigating, adjusting our booking, and finding cool things to do in the city. Highly recommended!

Really nice and clean place. Nice people & I felt very safe there.

This is a nice hostel. My stay was fairly quiet. The dorm area was very clean, had curtains on the beds.

Unfortunately the hostel is Not clean, it’s humid and moldy. The Woman Dorm is next to the main entrance and therefore extremely loud. Common areas not really in use, sofas dirty with dog hair. Staff friendly though

The Hostel was really nice, everything super clean, beds super comy and a big kitchen! Sergio and Cesar were really cool Staff-Team they are so friendly and they would help you with everything. The Hostel is a bit calmer though which for me was good, but if you ask them they can also make some party and events there! Thank you Sergio and Cesar for makimg my stay easy and great! Definetly recommend this Hostel.

This hostel was absolutely perfect! Everything from the cleanliness to the friendly staff exceeded my expectations. The location is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the facilities are top-notch. I highly recommend staying here!

Mega Aufenthalt dort gehabt. Mega schönes Hostel besonders der Garten war mega schön.

The staff doesn't speak English

The women's dorm is right beside the main door, so you keep hearing people put the security numbers in and often repeating it several times. The toilets have no space to easily sit down, you need to use the only one that is its own room. There are 3 showers for women, but one is broken. I had severe allergies when staying there, so I had to take antihistamines. They should wash the curtains / blankets / pillows more often. The backyard is very nice, a bit of a hippy vibe. The location is great.

We stayed at Charruas for 3 nights. It was fairly clean, bunks were super cosy and sturdy, and location was good. Kitchen didn't have spices or oil to use, but did have tupperwares. Garden area is nice. Not too much of a social atmosphere here. Mostly Portugese and Spanish speakers, gave me more of a local vibe which is fine, just that we didn't socialise too much.

Parfait ! Séjour plutôt court, mais le personnel est attentionné et de bons conseils. Les espaces communs sont propres, et conviviaux. Le jardin est un vrai plus !

Everything was just amazing. Sergio (host) was very helpful and nice all the time. The hostel itself was impeccable, clean and very cozy. The other guests/hosts were very nice either.
