DREAM Hostel Kyiv

I was pleasantly surprised by this hostel! It's very clean and modern inside with lots of natural light. Yes there's not much atmosphere but it does fill up and mostly with real travelers. Perfect location being between Podlin and St Andrew's Decent and close to metro stations. I didn't lake paying for a towel but otherwise great place to spend a few nights in Kyiv. Has an outdoor patio so you can still enjoy a beer after midnight curfew.

No maintenance on electrical lamp above bed despite me staying there 8 days no soap in Bathroom dispensers . Should be checked daily for defects and not place elderly guests in top bunker .

Had a great stay, staff were nice. Ukrainians were extremely nice and welcoming. Obviously not the social vibe you'd expect, but there is a war going on so makes sense. Stay strong Ukraine

The location is perfect, right on one of Kyiv's most historic and atmospheric streets. Everything is clean, the facilities are great, the staff are friendly and helpful. And REALLY importantly, this hostel has a bomb shelter in the basement. In most hostels in Kyiv, you will have to run to the nearest metro station. Being able to just go downstairs makes a huge difference. I will absolutely stay here again.

Dream Hostel is a gem located in a private courtyard at the bottom of St. Andrew's Steet in the heart of Kyiv. The staff and management are super helpful and work hard to keep the place clean and running smoothly. The outer courtyard is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy a meal and a drink. It gets very busy at the weekends. The war has obviously taken its toll on business. I sincerely hope that when the war is over, it can return to being the ideal backpacker's hub that it used to be.

Very clean hostel, located in an area where everything is round the corner. Would be happy to stay there again.

A highly recommended hostel when everything is working properly. Air alerts, very hot weather and renovations detracted from an excellent experience. Failure of standby generator (for power and light) and works to the cafe made living difficult. Staff are to be commended for continuing to provide a high quality service despite these problems. Value for money was exceptional and allowed Ukrainians to work and holiday from there.

Everything is great except the control icons on the electric stove wore off and some guests (me for example) cannot figure out how to use it.

Great place to stay, of course because of the war there are some quite long term tenants and you can't expect a vibe like in the other hostels, but in general everything works and is ok place for short stay
