Delft Village Stay

Chill island stay, and very nice hosts. I loved the overall vibe and the layout outsides. The food was really yummy too. The only thing is that the bathrooms could’ve been much cleaner.

We had an amazing time here, if we weren't limited in time we would have definitely stayed longer. Tommy, who runs the place, is a great host. Everybody that works here is very friendly and the food is delicious. It is not a luxurious place, so do not expect to find any here, but all the basic needs are taken care of within the possibilities of the island. If you are looking for a nice place to relax and be surrounded by trees and island vibes, this is the perfect place.

Best hostel so far in sri lanka. Perfect for just chillin with the calm spirit of the island. Super nice host Tommy. Very authentic good sri lankian food. Near to the sea, perfect conditions to do a yogasession on the beach in the morning.

Eine der besten Unterkünfte in welcher ich jemals war. Tommy ist ein großartiger Gastgeber. Er versucht immer besser zu werden, obwohl er bereits ein phenomenales Niveau erreicht hat. Es wird alles organisiert und ermöglicht für die Gäste. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und gibt einen guten Einblick in die lokale Küche. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen gleich zwei oder drei Nächte mehr zu buchen.

Amazing community vibe, felt more like a camp than a hostel. Super open-minded people, great conversations every night. Owners and staff are warm and often join in. Fun to sleep in tents (good beds, mosquito nets, hammocks). Yoga/workout space, bike rental (scooters on request). Great place to relax and connect.

If I could leave an extra star to Delft Village Stay, I definitely would! I loved everything: the location, the setting of the accommodation (basic but so nicely organised), the food, the guests I met whilst there and the staff. Tommy is an amazing host, the most friendly and helpful one I met on the entire trip. I had such a nice staying there that I decided to stay for an extra day (and would have stayed longer if I had more time..). Def recommended!

Utterly superb corner of Sri Lanka. Couldn't recommend it enough! Tommy is a fantastic host, the food is incredible, and the entire site is spacious and simultaneously sociable yet private! Love it

Delft Village Stay is the most special hostel I’ve ever been to. Tommy is truly one of a kind and makes your trip to Delft the best it possibly can be. I’ve been lucky enough to come to Delft twice now and am always devastated when it’s time to leave. This little island could be my favourite place in the world, and a large part of that is Delft Village Stay.

One of my favourite places on my month long trip to Sri Lanka! The hostel was awesome. Super chilled with hammocks all around and the tents are very luxurious with a bed and a good Moskito net inside. Also has a porch with chairs… It’s super clean even though the bathrooms are all outside. The host Tommy, his mother and the staff were awesome! Very responsive and helpful upfront and warm, welcoming and much fun in person! The island is beautiful for the beach, but even more the vast ope...

very cool place!! :) if you are looking for a place to relax and live a simple few days that’s it. There is not too much to do in delft, but you can swim, bike around and see wild horses. Tommy and his friends that run the hostel are all really nice and helpful! We visited in the off/shoulder season, so sadly there weren’t any other travelers, which made it a bit boring. But i think if there were other people, it would have been so fun! :) food is homemade and authentic tamil cuisine!

This is a wonderful place with a very peaceful vibe. I had an unusual experience of being the only person staying on the day I arrived, which allowed me to totally let go and just be with myself and the beautiful nature around the island. Tommy’s family was so friendly, and I cooked a Sri Lankan dinner with his mother (perks of being the only visitor!), who is just so joyful. All the facilities were clean and functional and the tents are spacious. Beautiful place, hippie vibe ❤️

I had a wonderful time at Delft Village Stay! It’s such a peaceful spot, beautifully created by Tommy with so much love and attention to detail. The food is absolutely delicious, the tents are cozy, and there are plenty of hammocks to relax, a yoga area, games and amazing outdoor showers. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic island experience!

Absolutely amazing!!! Delft is a stunning island, and the village stay makes the experience. Super welcoming hosts, who cater for everything you might need while on the island. Breakfast and dinner were delicious home cooked Sri Lankan style. Huts are super cosy and cute, very comfortable. Cannot recommend enough! ❤️

One of the best and Most social Hostels I have stayed in so far! Tommy created a very lovely place and knows how to bring people together. There are also a Lot of nice activities he organizes.

Je recommande à 100% l’hostel de Tommy ! Très bonne ambiance et d’excellents repas :) La plage est à 5 min à pied, des vélos et scooter sont à disposition permettant de visiter l’île. Delft Village est endroit parfait pour se détendre et passer de bonnes soirées ! Merci encore
