UAU Hostel

Dieses Hostel war leider eine große Enttäuschung. Das Gebäude ist in einem sehr schlechten Zustand – viele Bereiche wirken kaputt, ungepflegt und teilweise stark verschimmelt. Es fühlt sich weniger wie ein funktionierendes Hostel an, sondern eher wie ein verlassener Ort („Lost Place“). Besonders negativ ist die Sauberkeit aufgefallen: Es wirkt, als wäre seit Wochen nicht mehr richtig geputzt worden. Entsprechend unhygienisch war die gesamte Unterkunft. nice and clean hostel . but the blanket not have covers. so everyone use same blanket . it must be have cover .

We were basically alone the whole time, and couldn’t lock the front door, which was scary. But other than that it was a great stay :)

Excellent enjoyable stay

Misschien omdat ik vroeg in het seizoen dit hostel bezocht. sfeer he heeft het hostel eigenlijk niet. Niet qua aankleding en niet qua publiek . Het personeel is erg behulpzaam en hartstikke aardig . Keuken is klein Daar kun je met goed fatsoen Maar met een persoon tegelijk Koken . Staat tegenover dat het geen duur hostel is.

On a winter weekday, I was one of 3 people in the entire hostel which was perfect for me. Clean, well equipped. The manager is very friendly. The showers are not very warm. The hostel is a good distance from public transit.

For sure it had been glory days when it was brand new, but things are not fixed or maintained. Bedlinens and towels are clean and there is also hot shower - with there I've been happy, if someone is not a minimalist traveller, it could be disappointing. It does not help that the owner is super kind, that saved the show.

I have had the most wonderful stay with Uau hostel. The staff are so, so kind and the facilities and bed are perfect. Figueira is a beautiful place to visit and I cannot recommend it enough. This hostel has been perfect, a well equipped kitchen, clean toilet and shower and bed, and only 300 metres to the beach which is incredible. Value for money is good and the view from the balcony is amazing!

it was a nice stay and the hostel is only a couple of minutes away from the beach!

Room itself was fine, doors let through every little noise, shower is only hot water and it's kinda far away from the old center near the bis station. The dorms where totally empty i think, only the privates were booked. We had a nice time though. The common area in the top floor is really nice and cozy.
