Caribbean Coral Inn

The contact was helpful beforehand, but after a very long journey we were greeted in an extremely unfriendly and annoyed manner, we had the feeling that we were not welcome there and felt very uncomfortable. The atmosphere was tense throughout. Unfortunately there were stains on the sheets and towels. Too bad, because the Hotel itself is beautiful and the location is great. However, I would not recommend it to others, as the host is probably only friendly to people who fit his image.

A wonderful spot off the beaten path for quiet, relaxing time. I enjoyed the friendliness of this family run inn. Very delicious meals prepared and served by the mom and daughters and good conversation with the dad. Good people. They have done a great job creating a artsy, rustic, classy environment for peaceful waterfront peace.

This place is actually so much nicer than the pictures, nice room overlooking the beach, no bunks. I did have a scary incident where i heard gunshots nearby which made me feel unsafe, but this is obviously at no fault of the hostel. It was late on a sat night so i would avoid staying on a weekend, apparently it's the rich honduran tourists who visit on the weekend who have guns and fire the air when drunk. Breakfast was great, cash only.

I really enjoyed my stay at Caribbean Coral Inn- it's a pretty quiet place, and there are limited things to do in Tela, but if you are looking for a low-key, quiet getaway (which I was) it's perfect! The Inn is right on the water, and Emilio and Carolina are wonderful. The food was delicious, and Tela is easy to get around with a taxi. I would absolutely recommend!

Unfortunately we cannot recommend you stay here. We felt uncomfortable during our stay because a member of staff was rude and overbearing. Since our stay we have seen his WhatsApp status which had an anti-LGBT+ sentiment anda pro-Russia message. For these reasons, we cannot recommend staying here, despite the Mother and her teenage daughters running this place being fantastic, the food being great, and the rooms right next to the beach being wonderful.

Spent a wonderfully relaxing 2 nights in this Inn. Its right on the beachfront and you can listen to the waves as you sleep. Everyone was really welcoming and helpful, breakfast and dinner were fantastic.

We had an excellent visit. It was a bit tricky to find because I mistakenly assumed that it was in Tela, but instead it is a few miles away in Triunfo. The beach is just five steps away. The village of Triunfo is quiet and relaxed and feels safe. Our host Carolina was fantastic and even went out of her way to adjust her morning breakfast schedule to accommodate our early departure. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast was awesome.

Pasamos un fin de semana muy agradable en el Hotel. La ubicación es fantastica, justo en la playa. Las instalaciones son basicas pero muy bien cuidadas y decoradas que hacen el ambiente muy bonito. Definitivamente la mejor opción en playa escondida considerando la relación calidad-precio!
