La Chanca Hostel

Thank you Fernando and the whole team for being the best hosts, always available and super caring at all times. The atmosphere in the hostel reflected this and it felt more like being in a home than in a hostel. ❤️ and there is free amazing salsa & bachata lessons every day, and if you wanna go out, there's the possibility to join the group basically every night! For us the best place in Cali!

Great location close to clubs, restaurants, groceries, and cafes. The afternoon dance lessons are fun, and they sometimes organize group outings. Great place to stay

Wunderschönes Hostel im Paradies!

Un superbe séjour à la Chanca ! L’hostel est super bien placé, dans un quartier tranquille, les lits sont grands et confortable. L’hostel est pas très grand, ce qui nous permet d’être tous ensemble et partager de bons moments. Nous avions réservé 2 nuits on est restées une semaine. Un grand merci à Fercho de nous avoir accueillis les bras ouverts, nous avoir fait découvrir Cali, la salsa, la fête … on reviendra sans hésiter !! Hasta luego Enano, te queremos 🫶

En travaux la journée mais sinon pas dérangeant

La pasé increíble en Cali sobretodo por alojarme en La Chanca. Fercho es una persona genial, con mucha energía, un magnifico profesor de salsa y se convierte en tu amigo de risas y anecdotas. La Chanca mas que un hostel es una casa familiar grande, todo es alegría, todo es diversión, hay montones de planes que puedes hacer. No dudes en preguntar cualquier cosa que él te la va a resolver. Sin duda volvería a alojarme allí. Que Dios te bendiga Fercho, eres lo máximo ❤️

The owner is very friendly. It is a new hostel, so a few things are a work in progress, like the window above the double room door is just a hole. There's no hot water. It's also a dance school, so many people are coming in and out and there's always music playing during the day, but it's quiet at night. It's easy to meet people to go out salsa dancing with. It's just volunteers who clean so it didn't look like the standard was as high as professionals.

Our host Fernando was so friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcome and had plenty reccomendations for both daytime activities and evenings

I had such an amazing time staying in La Chanca hostel! The host Fernando is super nice and chill, there are free Salsa classes and overall the atmosphere in the hostel is incredible. Thank you for everything 🫶🏻

Nous avons passé quelques jours à la Chanca Hostel et nous avons été agréablement surprises. L’hostel se situe dans un joli quartier calme, proche du centre et des incontournables endroits pour sortir. Fernando, le gérant de l’hostel, est aux petits soins et fait des recommandations quotidiennes sur les activités de la ville. L’hostel est petit et familial, et se rapproche d’une colocation finalement. Il est propre et les lits sont confortables. Superbe séjour, merci beaucoup...

It was such a pleasure staying in la chanca! Really great vibes, Fernando is very helpful and personal with everything. It's a relatively small and thus quiet hostel, which I like. And thanks a lot for the free Salsa and Bachata lessons!

I can really recommend the hostel! The beds are comfortable, each bed has its own fan. Fercho, the owner, is really nice and helpful. There are also salsa clases :) and the famous salsa bars are just a few minutes' walk away. I met wonderful people there and will definitely come back :)

La estancia con Fercho es fantástica, desde antes de arribar ya se convirtió en tu amigo y tu guía turístico, super recomendado el alojamiento

Really great place! Comfortable and with great staff! No hot water in the shower and not a very social place as it lacks a proper common area, but overall very good :)
