The Huts are on the other side of the River. If you need to work online you have to cross the River to get to the Wifi. It’s not a very safe feeling since there are many locals asking for donation or trying to push you to buy something. I felt very intimidated, when the local where even trying to approach us, when we where inside the fenced hostel. The Kitchen was really dirty and the Fridge was gross. The Staff was really friendly and welcoming and the huts are nice and clean.

Awesome stay. Would highly recommend. Love the food that they provide. Tasty and convenient.

Wenn einem Authentizität wichtiger ist als Luxus, dann ist Coffee Shack wie ein kleines Paradies. Jeder dort war unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend. Egal ob wandern, Surfen oder Drumming, alle Guides und Lehrer waren sehr kompetent und es die Zeit mit ihnen hat einfach Spaß gemacht. Wir wissen zwar noch nicht wann, aber wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder nach Coffee Bay kommen um den Coffee Shack Vibe zu genießen.

Super Hostel. Toll gelegen. Die Mitarbeiter sind alles freundlich und bieten täglich Ausflüge sowie Surfunterricht an. Falls man selbst kochen möchte sollte man ca. 1-2 Stunde vor Ankunft einkaufen gehen. Das ist die letzte Möglichkeit um einzukaufen. Das Hostel bietet aber sehr günstig leckeres Frühstück und Abendbrot an! Also eigentlich braucht man selbst nicht zu kochen.

Great place, lovely employees, clean and safe feeling. In addition Food and drinks were great. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

We had a fantastic stay at Coffee Shack! The location on the beach can't be beaten & the tours offered kept us occupied when we weren't on the beach. We especially enjoyed getting to meet some locals. Shout out to CK and her delicious meals! We ate like kings, and couldn't believe the value of having our own hut + all meals included when the final bill arrived. Bonus feature - Rusty the dog.

Absolutely lovely place and staff!! We only stayed for one night but already felt so welcome and at home. Coffee Shack, you’ve been magical :)

Sehr schönes Hostel mit toller Atmosphäre und liebevollen Mitarbeitern. Besonders die angebotenen Aktivitäten sind günstig und bringen die verschiedenen Reisenden im Hostel zusammen. Das Essen ist klasse!

Located in a little slice of heaven. The staff were really lovely and helpful, they had great hostel activities running everyday and the facilities were clean. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Great hostel, sparkly clean rooms, hot water and tons of activities every day. Highly recommend.

Really nice place! Has all the facilities you need and staff are very friendly. We stayed in the huts and you need to cross a river to get to reception by foot 🤣 so pack open shoes

Great time at the coffee shack for new years with an excellent party. Staff was very friendly and there were great excursions every day on top of surf lessons. Bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot. The bar and pool table made it easy to meet people

Beautiful spot!

Difficult to get to but that’s my only complaint. I am so happy I stayed here and I wish I stayed longer. It’s such a vibe and probably one of my favorite hostels I’ve ever stayed at. It felt like a home. And the rock formations out on the beach were breathtaking. Definitely stay here!

Aaahhh absolutely loved this place! Could’ve not wished for a better stay. Coffee Shack offers you everything you need: fun activities (surfing, hikes, village walk, …), good homemade food, nice and clean facilities, shuttle service, … Massive thanks to the staff + volunteers, they’ve made the past 2 weeks so incredibly special!!! I’ll be back, untill next time!
