I felt a bit uncertain booking, but I cannot recommend highly enough! I booked a second night and I knew several people that did the same. Met some wonderful people, great space, loads on offer (sauna, yoga, live music) and really comfy beds. 10/10 would stay again

Unfortunately we booked this stay specifically for the sauna and spa but upon arrival was told it is closed on Mondays and Fridays which was not stated in their website or on the booking. The rest of the stay was nice, but we did feel a bit cheated out of our money as we still paid full price but didn't get to use the amenities that we paid for.

Great location but the social area is right outside where u sleep . Out of 6 nights I had 3 very sleepless nights due to people playing music and socialising outside my room until 12/1am . I tried bringing it up but not much respect is paid to the "10.30" no noise policy and it's not enforced by anyone. It's a shame coz it's a great location with a great sauna but I was pretty exhausted when i left. If u like partying I recommend otherwise for the price u pay your better off somewhere quieter

Fantastic stay and very friendly, safe environment. A little out of town but we had a vehicle so we’re fine. Amazing views of the ocean.

War schön gelegen. Jedoch weit weg von einer Möglichkeit zum essen kaufen. Bus oder Zug gibt es auch nicht. Mir hat es gesamthaft gefallen da es sehr einsam und schön gelegen war.

Simply paradies. Awesome vibe, cool staff and great location. Even has a (paid) sauna next to it with a view on the sea. Will absolutely come again!

i paid almost double of what i would pay for other hostels, and i expected nothing less. there was only wifi at the reception area and not in the room. there was no electricity port in the room, you have to go to the shared spaces if you wanted to get your devices charged. as someone who’s allergic to cats, i was not informed that there were 3 cats prior to my stay. the receptionist only nodded her head when i told her about my allergy. overall, i don’t think it’s worth it.

It was beautiful and peaceful, the weekend cafe on the terrace was really lovely and the Caboose was cosy. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were fine a little unhygienic

This campsite has lots of potential but was a bit too basic for me. The bed was comfy but there were no power sockets in the room. The kitchen was dirty. There weren’t many bathrooms (4 toilets for all the rooms). Staff were a bit non- existent. Lovely view over the sea but out of town so don’t book if you don’t have a car. I was glad I was only there for one night and wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer.

The location is beautiful and the private rooms are very cosy. Overall a really nice place however afew things let it down. There are no lids on the bins in the kitchen so flies are absolutely everywhere, and there are no power sources in the bedrooms, meaning everyone fights over one extension lead in the communal area (defintley a fire risk with the volume of devices plugged in.) Our room on the second night had also not been cleaned well by the woofers and contained lots of dead ants.

Stayed at Solscape my first night in Raglan and then stayed at backpackers the next night. Overall raglan hostels are not a good place for solo travelers. Most ppl in the hostels live and work there so it’s hard to meet people and gives very unwelcoming vibe. However, Solscape was a lot better than backpackers. Cleaner, nicer people and more chill vibe. Backpackers was the most hostile, socially-isolating vibe i have gotten from anywhere I’ve been. felt like I was intruding in a family’s ...

Absolutely beautiful view that makes it so so good. Two issues that could easily be resolved to make this place a 10/10. 1 - kitchen towels are so infrequently changed that drying dishes makes them dirty again. 2 - wifi is only at reception but reception is locked before 8am, so if you need to do anything before 8am you're sitting outside in the cold/dark

Loooved this place!! It may be a bit out of the CBD (so you need a car to get in there which I had) but it is located on the cutest top with view over the Ngarunui Beach from the reception/cafe area. Super friendly staff! Possibilities for yoga classes, sauna, and surf lessons. Cute theme with old train station and wagons and lots of parking space! Would defo stay here again!

No privacy, bathroom window was clear and looked out on grassy area where people were walking. Had key but was told that evening that had to leave door ajar and unlocked as peoples keys didn’t work No staff at reception, keys just left in basket outside to help yourself Roof of cabin curved so absolutely no space between ceiling and upper bunk. Bunk very creaky and didn’t feel very stable
