Carabao Diving Resort

i got a dorm room here~ it was expensive compared to other hostels around— the quality didn’t make it worth the money. the ac was only on at specific hours making it near impossible to stay indoors during the day, the dorm beds aren’t private (curtains only cover one side of the bed like, one angle or another people will be seeing you—) no curtains for top bunk. the worst part for me was that the bathrooms and room smelled overwhelmingly

Pros: - The reception staff for the resort were very proactive and helpful. I arrived to Koh Tao via the overnight boat which arrives at 06:00am. The reception sent me an email offering to pick me up at the pier and offering an early check-in, nice to know if it was a wavy, hot, sleepless night on the overnight ferry, I'd be able to get my room and nap shortly after arriving. They actually let me check-in a 08:00am 🙌 - Their pool is nice, and they keep it well cleaned. - Food and Drinks are ...

Absolutely terrible hostel!!! We left after one night because it was so bad. Don't go there! They never clean (spole to many people). The mattresses look like they used to have bed bugs. Everything is dirty. Someone puked in the toilet three times in the night and we asked them to please clean it up, but they didn't. On top of that, they were incredibly unfriendly and not at all accommodating. The good reviews only come from the private rooms. I wouldn't go there again, even if I got paid for it

Nice hostel right in front of the beach! There is also a pool and a restaurant right next to it. Also I can highly recommend to do some diving courses here!

Beds are private and rooms are clean and the ac is good but what made it really good was the diving. I paid 7000 Baht for the open water diving course and had the best time highly recommend special thanks to Yannick the dive instructor and Lucas the dive master for making my time in the water fun and relaxing. Great Hostel!!

tres belle emplacement rien a dire sur l'ensemble par contre la propriété et les équipements sont mauvais et tres vieillissent c'est bien dommage !

We were staying in the big dorm. There are no curtains so there is no privacy. It was not very clean and the bathroom quite old. For the price and one night it was fine!

Unless diving with the team would not reccomendations this the facilities were the worst seen in 3 weeks of traveling and expensive to get in and out of town with taxis

Very poor no lighting in room or lock on door, beds had brown stains on sheets, people messy and dirty I didn’t stay I walked out

Vond het een sfeerloze plek en het personeel was in mijn beleving niet vriendelijk. Ik had voor een privé kamer al betaald en moest ter plekke nog 300 baht per avond betalen als ik airconditioning wilde. Dit vind ik belachelijk. In een land waar het meestal boven de 30 graden is het vrij normaal dat iedereen airco in zijn kamer wilt en heeft. Ik zou deze plek niet aan andere aanraden.

A little hard to fined, but just get on the beach and you can’t miss it. It’s a diving Hostal and very good group to dive with. Great place to chill, on the water. Can’t beat it in my opinion.

He estado muy bien en Carabao. En vez de pagar alojamiento pagué el curso de Open Water y me ofrecieron 4 días en un dorm de forma gratuita. Necesitas una moto para moverte pero se agradece estar alejado del centro porque duermes con el sonido de las olas pero a 5 min tienes la fiesta. Sin duda volveré!

Die Lage holt für mich alles raus! Manager war zwar öfters nicht aufzutreffen aber dafür sind alle sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Tauchkurse hier sind unschlagbar billig für (ca 70€ weniger als die Konkurrenz), sogar mit deutschen Gruppen und der Pool ist sehr schön mit Blick auf den Strand. Die Lage direkt am Strand ist einfach klasse würde gerne mehr als 5 Sterne geben weil 7.7 insgesamt dem nicht gerecht wird. Duschen sind allerdings schwach und der Boden wird nicht allzu oft geputz...

One problem after another: broken toilet, broken shower, problem with the bed, electricity down twice. They advertise as AC room, but refused to turn it on before 6 pm, even when I had a migraine. Construction in the courtyard + bathroom repairs meant constant noise. A blue light stays on all night and no curtains to block it out. No full separation between beds, it's like you're sharing with your neighbour. Very rude owner. Staff were friendly but very loud in the morning.

I did my open water with Marko and the advanced adventurer with Yannik and both instructors were amazing. I had so much fun and felt really safe all the time. The hostel is super nice directly at the beach and everyone is super friendly. I really loved staying at Carabao

Super friendly staff and such a beautiful part of the island. The beach is very quiet and nice, also not too far from the main bit if you want to get to the more lively parts. We took the open water course here and it was super fun and we felt safe at all times, such good communication with the teachers! Many nice restaurants near and also they have their own with budget friendly prices. And they have four super cute dogs that love belly rubs :)))

Adorei o hostel, as camas estavam limpas, conheci pessoas legais e fomos bem atendidos. Tinha uma rede de volei na praia logo em frente ao hostel e me diverti muito jogando. Único ponto não tao positivo era que o banheiro as vezes estava muito molhado ou cheirando mal e se você não tiver moto ou taxi fica um pouco longe pra ir a pé até a parte central. Eu não fiz mergulho mas fiz snorkeling com eles e foi bem legal. Recomendo!!

Lo bueno es que es barato para Koh Tao. Queda retirado y en una zona que no hay mucho a la noche, solo un bar en la playa muy lindo, de un francés. De resto sucio, tenían una bolsa de basura en el 2do piso constantemente tirada en el pasillo. En 4 noches no me cambiaron las toallas, ni limpiaron el cuarto. El “dueño” me gritó sin motivos xq le reclamé el control del AA x el que pagué aparte. La cama cómoda (redonda). Esta bueno que este sobre el mar.

J’ai séjourné dans un dortoir sans faire les cours de plongée. J’ai beaucoup aimé mon séjour, l’emplacement est super, le personnel au top, j’ai tout aimé. Je pense juste qu’il serait nécessaire de mettre des rideaux dans les dortoirs.
