+ The best dorms I I've stayed in. The division with walls and curtains gives so much privacy. Showers also great, clean, hot water. The hostel itself is small and welcoming. The outside garden is really nice to chill in.

- The only small disadvantage is the location is a bit off center, like 10 minute walk from the main square and not many shops / restaurants in the adjacent streets.

+ Each bed got a full single room within the dormitory. A bonus you don't often experience at that price in hostels. The whole place had a great open feel to it, yet still felt very secure. There are also lockers within the dormitories to secure any valuables.

- Enough lockers for the number of beds in the dormitory would be great.

+ This hostel has such a unique concept. The “dorms” felt very private, we even got free eye masks and earplugs. Every “room” has its own fan, light and socket. It was very clean, the pool and the garden area are beautiful and they offered occasional free activities. The staff were amazing!! Very hard working and always very kind and helpful. Jenn made the hostel feel like home.

- The location is slightly out of the centre, about a 10 minute walk away from the plaza.

+ Had a lovely welcome from Jen at reception. Jen was so very helpful during my stay there. I loved the spacious conversion of the old rice warehouse into a smart hostel with individual ( curtain door for privacy ) single beds in 3 large dorms. Three showers, toilets and basins for my dorm. Shower water hot, beds very comfortable, white linen. each room has a separate fan, light, plug and bedside drawer. Overhead fans and lights for all the rooms.!Secure pin lock to get into dorm. 4 cages available to lock valuables in. Communal areas inside and outside with pool, outside toilets, laundry area, kitchen with filter drinking water , large fridge and ample cups glasses crockery and cutlery. Coffee provided free in the mornings. Meals, drinks soft and alcoholic and meals available from locked fridge, restaurant and bar. I had an online funeral of a close friend to attend on my second day there and Jen made sure I had private space and peace to view and was also very empathetic. I really appreciated that. On my first day there I went on one of the tours recommended at reception. If I had cash I could have paid at reception but I walked to the tour office the evening before to pay by card. ( about 7 -8 blocks away) Was an excellent trip out to the salt lagoons, boat trip through the mangroves to see birds and crocodiles , swim in the sea, mud wrap and a delicious dinner. Thoroughly recommend. I also signed up for a free Guru walk ( pay what you like at the end ) and it was very good. Fernandez was very knowledgable and proud of the city and his country. I learnt many things about Mérida, from the past to the present. Karmelita the hostel cat is gorgeous

- Minor points. Location. It’s a good few blocks away from the historic town centre, atm’s, shops and the restaurants. I certainly upped my step count walking all the way in and out 4 times during my three night stay there. The area feels a little shady in the late evening with broken or non existent sidewalks and general litter outside the city gates but I didn’t actually have any problems. The high ceilings in the dorms means it’s noisier than usual with guests flushing toilets or locking doors but the hostel is aware as they provide you with ear plugs and a sleep mask.

+ C’était mon deuxième séjour. Cet endroit est tout simplement parfait. La localisation près du centre,la piscine ,le dortoir avec ses espaces individuels, le jardin,la cuisine bien équipée. Son personnel est exceptionnellement accueillant. Ces gens aiment leur travail. Merci pour votre bonne humeur ,merci Jen. Je reviendrai certainement!

+ На мой взгляд - идеальный хостел - приватная секция на 4 квадратных метра, почти личная комната - высокие потолки, идеальная вентиляция - достаточное количество ванных, туалетов, душевых, которые расположены прямо рядом - высокая безопасность - очень хороший персонал - прекрасная кухня, где можно готовить - очень много пространства для отдыха: как под крышей, так и на улице. Диваны, гамаки, столики, бассейн, бильярд, настольный теннис - расположен рядом с центром в тихом спокойном месте. Довольно недалеко до магазинов. Автобус нужен только добраться до музея, остальное пешком

- Может быть сам переулок, где расположен хостел, не самый проходной, но это не влияет на безопасность

+ Alles, insbesondere Shen ist super hilfsbereit und cute

- Nachts wird es sehr kalt wegen der Klimaanlage

+ Tolle Unterkunft mit Schlafsaal und dennoch durch die abgeteilten kleinen Räume genug Privatsphäre. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle super freundlich. Preis-Leistung waren top.

- Aus meiner Sicht ist es nicht das sozialste Hostel und kann somit schwerer Anschluss knüpfen.

+ Best hostel I’ve stayed at during my travels! No bunk beds, and it honestly felt more like a private room. The staff were incredibly kind, especially Jen, who went above and beyond for me. I would absolutely come back , mainly because of her! Quiet hostel and surrounding. Highly recommend.
