NOMAD Hostal Barichara

Beautiful place! Restaurant is phenomenal, surely among the best French restaurants in Santander. The facilities are incredible. Can't recommend this place enough!

Le moment passé au Nomad était génial. On se retrouve entouré de nature, un lieu paisible et ressourçant. Cela vaut clairement les 15 petites minutes de bus depuis le centre de Barichara (bus 2 fois par heure). L’accueil chaleureux de tout le personnel permet d’autant plus de profiter. Sans compter sur la gentillesse du gérant, qui saura vous aiguiller sur votre visite de la région ! Je recommande fortement. Un endroit incontournable qui marquera votre séjour !

Je recommande vivement ce petit coin de paradis perdu dans les montagnes… qui est de loin le meilleur hostel depuis le début de mon voyage en Amérique du Sud. Un lieu ressourçant, décoré avec goût, où j’ai eu la chance d’observer une belle biodiversité, et prendre le temps de me reposer sur mon trajet. Des hamacs pour chiller, des plats (VG) délicieux, des douches extérieures, et une super cuisine vous y attendent! Sans oublier le personnel et le gérant qui y sont très accueil...

Sehr liebevolles, stilvolles Hostel mit schönem Doppelzimmer samt Moskitonetz und eigener Aussendusche in mitten der Natur. Atemberaubender Blick auf die Berge. Tolle Entspannungszone mit zahlreichen Hängematten. Zudem yogamatten. Es gibt eine geräumige Küche, gefiltertes Trinkwasser und ein leckeres Frühstück. Enjoyed my three day stay at Hostel Nomad. Location is a bit far out of the town of Barichara but worth it if you enjoy tranquility and beautiful surroundings. I stayed in an 8 person dorm which had only 3 men staying in it (there were 2 dorms, one for men and one for women). Restaurant serves all three meals and in reasonably priced (breakfast included). Getting to/from the hostel requires either a bus or "tuk tuk" (if you have luggage). Kitchen and lots of room to relax. Recommended.

This was the perfect hostel for me, outside of town, very quiet, fantastic staff, delicious food, beautiful buildings, great facilities - and it’s not that complicated to get to Guane or Barichara. I extended my stay twice and still found it hard to leave. I hope I can go back again soon.

Superbe auberge, nichée au cœur de la vallée. Alors certes sont emplacement est quelque peu éloigné du centre de Barichara, mais qu’importe. On y vient pour prendre le temps, se reposer, et se détendre dans un écrin de nature. Au-delà de sa localisation, la décoration, le restaurant (délicieux) et l’ambiance de sérénité qui s’y dégage font de cet auberge un endroit à part, et exceptionnel.

Venue pour 2 nuits, je suis restée 1 semaine. Nomad Hostal est un havre de paix : vue sublime, hamacs, oiseaux, cuisine équipée, moustiquaires… parfait pour se reposer et déconnecter, tout en faisant des rencontres simples et de manière naturelle grâce à l’aménagement du lieu. La nourriture est délicieuse. Flo, le proprio, donne de super conseils (merci pour le trek de Chicamocha!). Mention spéciale à Nixon pour nos longues discussions. Un séjour qui fait du bien au cœur. L’un des meilleurs host où j’ai été dans ma vie ! L’endroit est en plein d’autres de nature , Fabriqué avec des artisans locaux, Sur le personnel est très agréable !

Le propriétaire est d’une gentillesse incroyable. Le lieux est magnifique, agréable et propre et le petit déjeuner excellent !

The best hostel ever. All the facilities and the room were beautiful and the view was stunning. It takes around 40 min to go to barichara with the bus (between walking and waiting) and 20 with the tuktuk. We found that being so immersed in nature was totally worth the wait. Moreover, the activities you do in barichara are all quite tiring and you will want to spend some time resting anyway. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly, Jose was a true gem and basically organized our whole stay.

The best hostel I stayed in Colombia. The owner is an incredibly nice guy and helped me plan the rest of my motorcycle trip. The food is also amazing.

Amazing place centered in nature with a very relaxed vibe. Good base point for exploring the region. Flo knows everything about the region and what places to visit. He helped me to rent a NAVI and even fixed it for me when I caused damage. The food in the restaurant is amazing as well. Best place I've stayed in when travelling in Colombia

We loved our stay at NOMAD, beautiful setting, overlooking amazing landscapes. Welcoming and helpful staff all round and great facilities. Further out from Barichara but easy to get tuc tucs or buses, but worth it for the views

Such a nice and peaceful place. Started with 1 day reservation and stayed for 14 days. Rooms and the whole place are super nice designed and clean, great atmosphere created by stuff, owner, environment and the place itself. If you like a silent and remote place to calm down, that’s your place. Will come back!

Excelente experiencia y el mejor hostal en Colombia donde me he quedado! Bastante cómodo, limpio, moderno, y el staff es bastante amigable y servicial, solo como sugerencia me hubiera gustado que la terraza estuviera abierta por más tiempo pero fuera de eso todo muy espectacular

J’ai adoré cet endroit, un vrai petit havre de paix. La playlist au restaurant est géniale. Les repas sont délicieux et préparés avec beaucoup d’amour. Je devais rester seulement 3 nuits et ai prolongé jusqu’à 5.

I loved my stay here and extended several times. The staff and owner are super friendly and welcoming and helped me organise several walks, my bus to Bogotá and a tuk tuk. The location is stunning and it's easy to get to Barichara with a short 10 minute walk followed by a bus or by hitch hiking. At night I chose to get a mototaxi back. The dorm is super spacious, great kitchen with incredible view and great chillout area. Loved the open air showers. Super peaceful place which I'd recommend!

Most peaceful hostel I’ve been in on my 3 month travel, the food was amazing and the general vibe was 10/10 have recommended this place to everyone

Really beautiful hostel on a finca outside of Barichara. Easy to reach by bus. Dorms were beautiful and very spacious (and in fact I had a dorm to myself when I stayed!). Good at the restaurant was good, there was also a guest kitchen but it didn’t seem to get much use. I would say this is a good place for chilling but if you want to do activities it’s better to base yourself in the cute little town of Barichara.
