Vungtau Surf Hostel

Beds are very hard, Rooms smell bad, Dead vibe, Surf lessons are overpriced, The only good comment would be that the hostel is cheap

If your are on a budget and need to find a bed for thr night you may consider vungtau Surf Hostel. Otherwise look for sth else. We rented a 6 bed dorm and the russian guy at the reception put us up to a 8 bedroom room. The door to the bathroom is broken and the smell is not ok. The cleaning lady changed the sheets but they didn't feel clean somewhat. The Internet disconnects every 15 mins and there is not breakfast or drinks of any kind. The guy on the rooftop plays some music to his taste...

super chill, really nice place but could def be cleaner. beds were also super tough. but staff was great.

The hostel is beautiful and the common areas are really nice but that's about the only positive thing about it. It is very badly organised, the female dorm is actually a mixed dorm, so don't bother booking it. There hardly is anyone working there, some guests had to be 'checked in' by other guests. The cleanliness is meh, there was never any toilet paper and i'm not sure if they cleaned the bathrooms at all during my 4 days there. Only the bottom beds have curtains but at least it's cheap.

Nice hostel and close to the beach. Owner is really nice and helpful but the mattresses are rock hard and the rooms weren’t very clean. Also the AC doesn’t work in the room so it’s really hot.

The hostel is located very close to the beach and the bars.

We loved this chill and nice hostel! The interior was really cool and made us feel very comfortable. And the surf class was great! Everything was perfect - we recommend it very much!

Nice quiet hostel near to the back beach for surfing and surf school. the owner and staff are super chilled , i got some good travel advice from some of the staff and regular guest/surfers.

Great place for surfers or anyone who travels alone

Nice hostel, stayed for a night. I must have went during a quiet season since there was not many people there! It's a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and I had a great weekend there!

Very nice hostel. Very quiet but we were there mid week so maybe it’s different at the weekend. Staff are rlly cool

The dorm and bathroom was very clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful. It was a very relaxing environment and we enjoyed staying here.

One of the best hostels I've been to in many years! As beautiful and cozy as in the photos. Great vibe! Only the beds could be more comfortable and the bathrooms a little bit cleaner. But overall really amazing! Go there and spend a week away from travel stress!

I’ve never stayed at such a clean, lovely, spacious hostel before. It was so homely and calm. I also did the surf lesson which was very fun! I would highly recommend this place.

A great place to stay. I only stayed for one night on a break from HCM but great location and friendly staff.
