Mad Monkey Phnom Penh

Very nice stay. Clean rooms and bathroom. Went on the s21 and killing fields tour. The tour guide was great. Also Leakena who works there was very helpful and kind. Would recommend this hostel

The vibes were on point from the second I walked in — the kind of place that just feels right. Staff were genuinely some of the friendliest I’ve come across this whole trip. Shoutout to Malis at reception especially (10/10 for her)— she sorted everything I needed without me even having to ask twice, and made sure I actually felt looked after. None of that fake hospitality stuff either. These people actually gave a shit. Definitely a good shout for a satisfying stay in Phnom Penh

An absolutely lovely stay! The AC was fabulous and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially Kevin. There was also a convenience store right across the street which was awesome cause I forgot my toothpaste at my last hostel. Completely recommend!! Also there's activities going on every day and night, always something to do. Super social, super fun.

Ich mochte das Hostel und die Atmosphäre sehr gerne. Man konnte gut Leute kennenlernen aber in den Zimmern war es ruhig und man konnte gut schlafen. Die Mitarbeiter sind super lieb und bemüht dass man eine gute Zeit hat. Besonders Leakena, die mir auch ein Henna tattoo gemacht hat :)

The location is good, safe and near lots of food and bars. The beds were large and comfortable, however the curtains don’t go all the way. The bathrooms and general cleanliness was ok. However it is still a mad monkey… Loud music at night, and your typical mad monkey guests, maybe my fault for booking. The staff weren’t the most polite I thought, i stayed 2 times and both times i had some form of issue with either checking in, extending or checking out.

This was our first time staying at Mad Monkey and it exceeded all expectations. It is a really social hostel so we had no problem meeting new people. With its amazing location you can easily visit a lot of Phnom Penh. And I also want to mention the amazing staff (Laek and Soso 🫶🫶) that made sure we had everything we needed including lots of fun and partying. We will never forget our stay here! This was my first time at a Mad Monkey and I was really impressed with it! We stayed there for the Kings Day celebrations and it’s some of the most fun I’ve had in my 5 months of travelling! The staff are wonderful, really friendly and engaging! The rooms themselves were very clean with big beds and underfloor storage and despite the events, also very quiet! Will definitely be staying at a mad monkey again!

It was a great hostel, I had such a good time. The museum tour you can book trough the hostel was good organized and interesting. Also I really liked Soso, she is the most lovely person. I definetely recommend!

I don’t usually like party hostels because I prefer quieter social hostels. But my stay at Mad Monkey was so great that I’d definitely go back. I got a good night’s sleep despite all the activities and partying. The staff were brilliant and the atmosphere was really good. The location is great too.
