Hostel Dorado Plaza Getsemani

The staff were great, and the beds in the dorms were great. Privacy curtains are always excellent. Not much of a vibe socially, no real reason to hang out at the hostel. Hot water doesn’t work but there’s no reason for a hot shower in Cartagena I found.

Esta ubicado en un buen lugar para conocer Getsemaní y el centro. Desde la entrada hasta las habitaciones y el área de descanso cuentan con aire acondicionado, cuenta con una cocina amplia y con refrigeradores. En las habitaciones super cómodas te hace sentir como en una casita pequeña por qué tiene un buró al lado de la cama, la limpieza es constante. Y el personal está muy al pendiente de todo y para apoyar.

En general el hostal está bien, cerca de todo. Muy limpio y económico. En mi caso anoche no pude dormir nada, se dañó la chapa de la puerta y los huéspedes golpearon tan fuerte la puerta (entraban y salían con mucha frecuencia) que no era posible descansar.

Like a hotel with hostel beds. The bed spaces are very convenient and the rooms were clean when I went. No activities and the common areas are uninviting.

Really nice hostel in a great location. The building felt secure and well managed. The kitchen is well equipped and the dorm beds were big and felt private. The hostel is huge and no real activities planned so less social in that sense but overall a great place to stay.

Honestly not sure why this hostel is rated so high. The staff are the most disinterested staff, there’s no facilities really and all the pictures of the hang out areas are literally just the one place. The staff gave me zero information about anything. They had me sitting there for ages to take me to my room for no reason, there’s zero atmosphere. The showers were cold. The beds were private and relatively clean, but the noise wasn’t great and the rooms were actually way too cold.

Loved the kitchen, had separate stoves and sinks for people and a lounge area with water filter and ping pong table. Staff was helpful with the luggage storage and beds were nicely tucked away with curtains and nightstand

Great location, but bathroom was not clean, sand on the floor all the time, not super bad, but annoying and not a social hostel. The capsule beds are nice with a little bit of space for yourself behind the curtain

Está buenisimo. Lo único q le cambiaría es poner un dispenser filtro de agua en la cocina para no tener q bajar a buscar todas las veces. Y era muy limpio salvo abajo de la cama que hay un pequeño espacio y se me fue una ojota y definitivamente faltaba limpiar ahí, pero lo demás excelente, el resto muy limpio, buenas instalaciones y servicio, amables, tranquilo, volvería!

It was a good location. I liked the sleeping pods, but it wasn’t the cleanest but it did the job! There is security and I felt safe the whole time. There were some ants everywhere and could be a bit cleaner… but overall it was great and the staff was very nice and helpful!

Agradable lugar, limpio y agradezco intensamente a Carlos que el dia q sali me llamó insistente para entregarme mi cedula que se habia quedado ! Por mejorar : no encontré para apagar las luces del pasillo de la habitación 😅 o no se si es que deben quedar encendidas . Gracias !

Cobram para guardar bagagem, pela toalha e para usar as instalações após o check out!!! Isso foge um pouco a regra de Hostell, que normalmente são adaptado a viajantes fazendo mochilões. Mas o Hostel é bem localizado e boas instalações. Mas a limpeza deixou um pouco a desejar!

Yessica is absolutely amazing! She is so wonderful and helpful. I came back to Mr.Baboon because she was so great that I had to come back! She is the best! I recommend this place 100%

Super comfy hostel, beds were so nice and quite big. You have your own little cubby and a curtain giving full privacy. The AC was so good I actually felt cold! Showers super clean. Not at all social so wouldn’t recommend if wanting to socialise but would recommend if travelling with someone or wanting a relaxing time resting!
