Casa Helena Hostel

Het personeel kon slecht Engels en communiceerde weinig. Voor mijn gevoel kon iedereen binnen lopen en de kamers zijn niet op slot. De vrouwen dorm waar ik in sliep was niet heel erg schoon en de wc’s stonken. Er was geen raam in de kamer. Het lijkt mooi, schoon en verzorgd maar ik moet toegeven dat na het eerste mooie uiterlijk het toch een beetje tegenviel.

Great location. However the toilets smelled quite bad and the lockers are too small - so the dorm is crammed with everyone’s belongings and backpacks everywhere. Breakfast has to be ordered the night before with a specific time which reception don’t mention ahead of time. There was also a power cut whilst I was there. Not really any social vibe.

Schönes Hostels, bequeme Betten, gute Dusche und alles sehr sauber. Mein Dorm ist etwas klein, so dass es bei Vollbelegung eng werden kann. Mein Tipp: die Schübe unter den Betten etwas verlängern, so dass die Backpacks reinpassen. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und der Pool, grad nach einem heißen Tag, toll. Das Hostel selber bietet keine Aktivitäten, nebenan ist aber das Los Patios, in dem immer was los ist. Ich habe dort verlängert und würde jederzeit wieder kommen.

This is a cool place, but it’s more like a hotel than a hostel. Not social at all. I liked the beds, its clean, nice bathroom, and just a simple place. Great location. And a pool!! Necessary in the heat. I wish they had more social events and recommendations. The staff: nice people and really helpful. I like them.

The hostel looks new so I think whit time they will adjust and be a great hostel. I stayed in a private suit and gave a bad review due to3 factors: 1) They "forgot" to clean the room in the first day. 2) No hot showers and didt warn about it 3) It looked like a ghost hostel, not even a single other guest was seen in the 3 days I stayed.

Encantada!!! la atención de Jal fue increible, nos dio recomendaciones para visitar, comer y salir de fiesta ! El lugar esta super ubicado, cerca de la calle de Getsemaní, variedad de restaurantes, los grafitis y bastante cerca de la Ciudad Amurallada! Las habitaciones y las instalaciones estuvieron limpias todo el tiempo, el lugar permite descansar comodamente y tiene un area de piscina y terraza para pasar el rato y compartir con otros huespedes... Lo mejor es que tiene un excelente personal...

Staff were nice, the hostel is modern and there are some nice touches but it does seem unfinished, particularly the rooftop. We felt safe in our dorm but there would be nothing stopping randoms walking in. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend as it is currently. But it was quiet and fine for a peaceful night.

The facilities on the roof top are excellent and the staff helpful. The bedroom dorm is very cramped, the lockers aren’t big enough to fit your bags in so personal belongings and bags are scattered where they can be. The bathroom is tiny with no where in the bathroom or bedroom to dry anything (although there is space on the roof) The partition between my bed and the next was loose so kept banging every time I moved . Nice enough but I wouldn’t rush back unless I was in a private room

Great new hostel, staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are some of the best I've stayed in. Very boutique and in a fantastic location if Getsameni. I would recommend and will definitely stay here again

Is a lovely looking property, with decent rooms, bathrooms etc. Biggest flaw is a lack of social area, which it seems like they are still building on the roof. Room was a little bit dingy with no windows etc so nothing would dry

One of the nicest hostels I have stayed in. I was in a shared dorm and the room and bathroom were so clean. The location was great. The beds were comfy. The pool was an added bonus. Would highly recommended staying here

Employés souriants et gentils. Bel endroit. Bon emplacement. Cuisine et aire de repos en rénovation ce qui fait qu’il n’y a qu’une seule petite table avec 2 chaises pour tout l’hotel. Ils ne font pas fonctionner le moteur de la piscine pour sauver de l’électricité malgré notre demande de le faire fonctionner. L’eau est stagnante et un gros cerne sale tout le tour. Aucun entretien.

The location is perfect but the hostel is disappointing. There is NO kitchen, NO chilling area, NO shade around the swimming pool and only 4 seats. The dorms have no windows and smell of humidity. We hear the very loud music from the hostel next door but can't join the party so it's just an inconvenience. The staff is very nice, but the hostel lacks in the basic facilities that are expected and is overpriced for what it offers. The wifi wasn't working on the 2nd floor and the cleaning system of ...

Excellent new hostel. Good dorm beds, nice small pool upstairs, kind employees. Great location too.

Great new hostel!! They give free towels, conditioner and shampoo! Comfy beds with curtains, great rooftop Staff are so so so nice, definitely come stay here

This is a “boutique” hotel that looks great, in a colonial house, with beautiful finishes and furniture. To me, the worst thing is the air conditioning: they had it at 20C and provide duvets. In a tropical country. After some negotiations, they put it at 22C. Only the rooms have AC so you go out of the room and it’s 30C. Not only this is really bad for the environment but I came back with a cold. Rather aggravating to come back from the tropics with a cold! There are very few social...

Would not recommend staying here. Lack of waste bins anywhere so garbage piles up around the hostel, practically ZERO places to hangout and socialize. To add insult to injury the hostel RIGHT NEXT looks like a Marriott in comparison. If you’re looking to meet people and socialize this is not the place but it shows nice and the private rooms look nice

Très bel établissement bien placé, dortoirs propres et pratiques (SDB privée pour dortoir de 4 avec crochets et espacesde rangement pour affaires et valise), piscine rooftop jolie et agréable. Par contre aucun espace commun agréable à l'ombre (seulement la piscine et le couloir de l'hôtel), mais ils ont l'air de faire des travaux pour en creer sur le toit. Would highly recommend this hostel. Honestly the pool, the bed, the vibe and the staff are great. Location is perfect.
