Cossacks Hostel

lovely hostel in a great location just off Rynok square. I hope everyone working there is safe from the strikes yesterday.

Great hostel in the city center

I arrived at 1:30 am at night l, rang the bell may times. Eventually I had to sleep outside. Lucky that it was not freezing. In the morning a rude employee I met in front of the door told me that people were sleeping and she would not let me in for the last 4 hours of sleep. Very disappointed.

On the Hostelworld page for this place, it says their reception is open 24/7. I was on a night train that arrived in Lviv at 3:00 a.m. By email, I advised them that I would arrive about 3:30 a.m., which I did. The door to the building was locked. I rang the intercom for the hostel for about 15 minutes,no response. They didn’t answer the phone either. The temperature was 0 C. DREAM Hostel kindly let me sleep on a sofa, no charge. Really nice hostel. If you are looking for something small and quite this is a good place. Location it’s great, and the lady from reception super nice.

Wonderful small, relaxing hostel! Reception is amazingly helpful. The owners are often around and take great care of the place. I spent almost three months here over the course of a couple trips this past winter and I met other regulars that, like me, keep coming back. So happy to have found this home away from home.

Great all around, highly recommend.
