Cleanliness is a big concern at this place in the dorm and shared toilet/ shower area. I was ready for a basic place, but didn't expect animal droppings inside the shower and smelly mosquito nets. Many beds to choose from in the dorm because of low occupancy but many of them have dead bugs on the sheets. Staff members were nice though and the location was remote and jungle-like. Loud karaoke from their other sites until 10:30pm at night, so not so jungle-like.

Lovely stay. Friendly helpful staff. Shuttle bus runs 3x day for visits to the orangutan/ sunbear centres and rainforest discovery centre. Food on site reasonably priced and free breakfast was lovely. Mosquito nets over dorm beds. No a/c but temperature at night was absolutely fine.

the staff and hotel were lovely in a nice location surrounded by the rainforest, however this did mean the hotel was quite far from things to do but they provided regular shuttles to local sanctuaries and really good food at a good price, would definitely recommend

In the middle of nowhere so you are basically forced to buy the meals sold. Free breakfast was terrible and a tiny portion and the lunch/dinner portions weren't much better :(. Otherwise fine, free shuttle to the orangutan/sun bear sanctuaries was a nice perk.

Wonderful, peaceful location. Convenient free shuttle to central Sepilok for the orang-utans, sun bears and Rainforest Discovery Centre. Friendly service and good value.

Fans in the room don’t really work, dorms are super hot and warm. Big holes in the mosquito nets, multiple bugs in the bed! No fans in any communal areas very hard hostel to be in in any heat!

The staff are so lovely here, very helpful and polite! They go above and beyond to help with whatever you need. Food was great, bed and bathroom are nice enough for the location. There are no lockers (but again staff more than happy to take care of valuables), also the room feels old and dusty - could use a freshen up. Shuttle buses are a vital service as the location is very remote

Lovely hostel, such a great experience - very much in the jungle. The staff were very helpful in arranging all activities for us!

In the middle of the jungle so if you don’t mind the bugs it’s really nice

The ladies running the place are lovely and the restaurant is okay. The place is a little bit far away from the sanctuaries in Sepilok but there is a shuttle that will bring you there. The whole place is a little bit worn off and the bathroom facilities for the dorms need a full renovation. Considering the price for a bed in a dorm still a good pick. Recommended for lower budget travellers.

Amazing place. If you are wanting 5* luxury then this is not for you; you are in the middle of the rainforest amongst the wildlife, so see a lizard or two in your dorm or toilet. However, this was all part of an absolutely incredible experience. The views from the social area were breathtaking, the food was tasty, good social atmosphere, and the staff were great at advising on what to do. They also run a free shuttle bus to take you to key tourist spots. Couldn’t recommend more.

A lovely spot to stay, the food is good and they offer transport to the nearby Rainforest Discovery Centre and were very helpful with questions. There are no lockers for valuables and the fan in my dorm wasn’t working which made the evenings hot and muggy

A large resort in the heart of the jungle - it’s a great escape from the city and I was lucky enough to have the whole place to myself during the low season. Because it’s off the beaten path it does lack a social vibe, but you’re mostly on excursions and day trips around the jungle anyway. The dorms were a little dusty and could do with some regular cleaning - this might be due to it being low season. The bathrooms had toilet paper and hot showers - perfectly fine for jungle facilities.

I stayed with a friend in the mixed dorm, we fell in love with this place! We stayed before we left for our river cruise and came back after cos we loved it so much. Breakfast was simple (toast, fruit, eggs and a sausage) but all you need - and you can ask for some extra toast. Toilets and showers were decent, no hot water though but that was fine for us. They had a couple of nice spots to chill and hang out with the other guests, and free water to drink! Overall an amazing place to stay!

great place to stay while in Sepilok. They will organise shuttle or taxi to collect you if you are dropped off by bus from KK, and are very helpful in arranging other transportation. The free shuttle to the orangutans and sunbear was great. The place is very rustic and basic overall, th dorm could get very very hot in the evenings. But falling asleep and waking up to the jungle sounds is magical. the restaurant on site is well priced with great food and full portions. i highly reccomend!

I really liked staying there, very close to the jungle, the food is good. But one should know that it's located on a hill, so you can't just rush to a 7-eleven whenever you want. Bed and bathroom were not very clean. But I think that's just what you have to expect when you sleep this close to the jungle. Good location to go to the rainforest discovery center or orang utan sanctuary

Brilliant location, free shuttle from where the public bus leaves you at the roundabout to the hostel as well as to the orangutans, sunbears & the RDC. The food was very nice, but cost rm13-20 which is something to mindful of if you have a budget. Included breakfast was okay (toast, eggs, fruit). Thought the shared bathrooms needed more attention, they never felt that clean. Very social though, and I enjoyed my stay overrall. Bring strong bug spray if the mossies love you!!

I am so spoiled by all the staffs there , they took really nice care of me, can’t say enough thanks to Rose who helped made the booking for night walk tour at CRD and picked me up during the pouring rain! And Max , very kind and nice ! I’ll definitely come back again and stay longer
