I got many bed bug bites after staying there one night. I talked to the receptionist who put me in touch with the manager about addressing this issue. But after a month, I've received no response.

good location, grumpy staff & had a few homeless people in the dorms which made the atmosphere a bit strange as it wasnt really a backpacker vibe. also my bed had bed bugs! i told the staff and asked if i could move rooms they told me no and that the only thing they could do was refund my current stay.

It’s okay, but definitely wouldn’t recommend for solo travelers. There are no common areas at all and everything’s super sterile. Also I got so many bed bug bites there!! Wouldn’t stay there again

I am not one to usually write reviews but my stay here really contributed to my time in London, and unfortunately it was not great. To start, the wifi didn’t reach my room, or at least my bed, so i was unable to take advantage of that and instead had to buy additional data. Next, I’m not sure if was spiders or bed bugs but each night I stayed, I woke up with new bites all over my arms and feet. I’m not sure if it’s because I was on the bottom bunk but it was terrible. I wish my stay was better.

Great party hostel for a weekend getaway if your never in your room. Otherwise, rooms are hot and stuffy and mine had bedbugs. This place's only real upside is party environment and fun staff, and location is good.

I found bedbugs, in my bed, their cleanliness is not deep enough for a room of 33 people, the manager is not kind to the customer at all, you have to beg him to give you the money back, the hostel's fault only comes from his superiors, the cleanliness and the guys at the front desk do their best, if you want to keep a hostel, you have to manage well above all the cleanliness of the place, the room I left it as it is, I had to leave, almost out of shame, because the manager didn't find a solution

I got bed bugs on my last night here. You dirty b*******!! The shower… dear god, oh how cramped that shower is. I felt as though the walls were closing in on me. I can say the location was great but beyond that I have few kind words for this place. They make you pay 5£ for a goddamn towel!

this hostel is one of the worst I’ve stayed at. They cram too many beds in the space that they have. minimal space to keep your stuff some lockers are outside of the room which poses a safety issue.the bathrooms were OK in terms of cleanliness. Found a couple of bed bugs over my stay. It’s not a very social hostile at all, which is one of the reasons I picked it despite the bad reviews. THERE IS NO AGE LIMIT! I found there were a lot of men 40+ I would recommend an all girls dorm in this hostel

two words: bed bugs. they did not seem to care or have any urgency in fixing it. i saw it with my eyes and they were unphased. i was in the 24 mixed room and didn't seem to have any protocol. they told me to check out and i asked for a refund (only got it for the one remaining night)

BEDBUG in my bed. The showers are dirty. older long-stayers seem to be in between stages in life. Weird people who aren't guests sleep on the room floor. no real common area. Some staff untrained and rude. Good location easy access is the only positive thing Showers are dirty, rooms are crowded and smelly, and late-night disturbances are common. Some staff are unhelpful, though one receptionist was very supportive during my bedbug issue. The one in the morning with dreads really needs training.

There was bed bugs in my bed. I have anout 15 bites on my body and all I wanted was a room change. The staff was wonderful but kept on saying that they couldnt switch me. I asked for my bed to be recleaned three times because every time it would get cleaned another bed bug would show up and bite me. I realy think the hostel should have done more to ensure my safety especially when I was showing them videos of the bugs on the bed and of my bites.

I’m usually very positive but I didn’t realize the lacking here until I went to another st Christopher’s. It’s always hot in the rooms! They never turn on ac. High suspicion I also had bed bugs. I itched all night. The location is unbearable and the bar is fun.

I had bedbugs in the capsule room. And got bites all over my body. The staff didn’t seem to want anything about it when I let them know. Otherwise they have good facilities but not very social hostel.

Bar is fun but not actually through the hostel so you won’t really meet people from the hostel. Found a bed bug on my last night there which ruined the experience. Bathrooms are gross and the whole place smells bad.

We were having a great stay until our last morning when we saw a bed bug crawling across the bed! The staff were not helpful whatsoever and super disappointing. We thought there would have been a protocol in place considering this is a reputable chain.

You have to ask purchase a lock if you didn’t bring your own. In capsule I had, I found a bed bug in the morning that had bitten me. I was told by a staff member that one of the only options was to check out until I fought for another capsule room. Unfortunately, the only options were next to the one I was in! I was really scared to sleep and woke up on and off. They did offer to pay for my laundry. Past reviews of the capsules also describe similar situations.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! SERIOUS bed bug problem and refuse to acknowledge it. Dismissive staff and told me I got them elsewhere. I am covered in bites. All they offered was to stay in the same bed or leave with no refund. The room smelled terrible and beds would shake by smallest movement. Not enough toilets on each floor-had to go upstairs at times. Storage lockers are CASH ONLY. Lockers in room are small-can't store all luggage. Housekeeping is loud. Worst hostel and I have stayed in over 100.

heard from other people living here there are bed bugs, i didn;t check but find myself biten four places on my body 2 days later, i think it's highly possible is from this hostel. so i didn;t give a good review, for other parts of the hostel, i have no impression since i just stay for 1 night

Stayed here many times, as always the staff, location and security is amazing! Unfortunately on my last visit - there was bed bugs in the capsule rooms, I was bitten over 40 times and had an allergic reaction, I then had to chase for over a week to get a refund/response.

Not great. The hostel is a bit overpriced considering what you get. There were bedbugs and the staff did not speak up, so I found a dead one in my sheets. Supposedly, they had the outbreak contained in the 1st floor; we were in the 5th. HOWEVER, location was great and breakfast was not bad. Staff was not the most inviting, but they were not horrible and did issue a refund quite easily. I’m still not happy that we paid £100 for a bedbug infested hostel, but that was basically the only bad thing.

During my stay at St. Christopher's Village, the staff was helpful and the amenities were decent. However, you must be aware of bed bugs. This isn't an experience that should happen at a hostel rated so highly. I am in the process of cleaning and disinfecting everything that came with me on this trip. I am very disappointed in this as the location and activities within the hostel were quite decent.

Indeed I stayed for 3 nights and I'll get sick...the Toilet is dirty all the time and I was beatin by bedbugs..the rooms so crowded the staff seems not very friendly...not either one had a good customer services... The shower room is dirty and narrow everywhere.. No hand sanitizer on sight...

We slept in the 21 share. One of the staff members woke me up one night with his flashlight in my face. There is a club on the level below the room with VERY loud music. Music was on every night for four days. Most people in the room were coughing. It might have something to do with the lack of ventilation. The room smells like farts and sweat all the time. Mattresses was heaps sagged. Woke up sore every morning. On the plus side: Curtains around the beds and no bedbugs.

Saw good reviews so was excited to stay at this hostel. After stay in the capsule accomodation I’m covered in bed bug looking bites. Very few bathrooms and showers for number of guests, cleanliness in these was ok. No soap provided. Ear plugs provided due to how significant the noise is from bar downstairs. Good aircon in capsule rooms was a redeeming feature. Overall would not recommend, the activities look good but not redeemed by other flaws

Stayed in the capsule room in a comfy pod. Very glad they provided ear plugs as music from the bar was very loud. Good location near 2 tube stations and plenty of buses. Only concern is I spotted several bed bug looking things throughout the night. Overall great place
