Gilligan's Backpacker Hotel & Resort Cairns

Das Zimmer ist zwar geräumig, allerdings sind die Räume extrem feucht, dass die Bettwäsche und Matratzen durchgehend feucht sind. Auch Sachen zum Trocknen werden nicht vollständig trocken. Außerdem befinden sich auf den Fleece Decken zum schlafen enorm viele Haare, total widerlich. Der Geruch im Zimmer ist ebenfalls gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Pretty good stuff, js a curfew on a party hostel is ridiculous and having the checkout at 10 with a person on loud speaker in everyroom saying every morning at 9:30am is unacceptable. Rooms are nice, hostels “party vibe” is intresting, pretty good place to pre drink at happy hour then go somewhere else for music and dancing. Hostel also has a bit of a identity crisis trying to pander to all people leaving everyone lacking. Would book for a few nights but not a top hostel.

Wow what a great hostel, only knock was the wifi was not good or even accessible while i was staying on the 3rd floor, but they said they were currently working on it. Other than that, what a great fun place to stay while at the Reef!

Excellent - everything in one venue. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially Joe! Great drink and food deals and nightly entertainment. Pool is great and free use of Golds gym too which is great. Great fun and always something going on here!

Il peggiore in assoluto. Sto viaggiando da tre mesi in Australia e questo è il peggiore in cui sono stata. Se sei maleducato, ignorante senza principi e valori, sei un drogato, alcolizzato e vuoi farti party 24/7 allora questo ostello fa al caso tuo, altrimenti per 10dollari in più ce ne sono altri sicuramente più comodi più sicuri. Qua la privacy non esiste, la sicurezza tanto meno, per non parlare di un servizio e attenzione al cliente inesistente. Orribile è riduttivo.

very big hostel, the club directly next to it is very fun

Gilligan's was an excellent stay for the value. We returned here after our liveaboard concluded because of the convenience, atmosphere, and value. Our first stay was in a four-bed mixed dorm room, and it was closer to the club than the second stay, but overall, the noise level was minimal. I would say that if you are a light sleeper or have difficulty falling asleep, then this stay is NOT for you. Our second stay was further from the club, and you could not hear a single sound

There was a trash can of pee when we entered supposedly clean room MUSIC SO LOUD UNTIL 4 am even with earplugs in Check in process took at least 15 minutes

Brutally loud music and especially booming bass all night long

Für Leute die gerne Feiern gehen! Es ist etwas hellhörig aber ansonsten echt in Ordnung auch der Pool war nicht überlaufen.

Do not stay here. I have stayed in hostels all over Europe and Australia and this one was by far the worst. My room was so damp that all your clothes and the beds were wet. At least 8 people told staff and they dismissed all of us until finally the fire alarm went off at 6 am because the humidity and hot air had tripped it. They finally shut down the room and moved me into a different one and did not give me so much as a sorry or offer to refund me the nights spent in that room.

Ich hatte ein „leiseres“ Zimmer gebucht und ich konnte nicht schlafen, weil es so laut war, als hätte jemand das Mikrofon an mein ohr gehalten

Good hostel, some rooms can be noisy due to the club but it’s a party hostel it’s expected. Clean rooms, nice bathrooms. Has a pool, bar, and club

Sehr cooles Partyhostel, mit vielen Aktivitäten.

Huge more like a resort but not a good backpacker atmosphere. Bar/club is awful and ridiculously loud when you’re trying to sleep before 4am. A lot of permanent residents - a lot of them old.

Nice party place

Eigentlich top, sofern man ein Zimmer nach außen und nicht zur Bar hat. Sogar dann mit Balkon. Super Bar und Partys. Zimmer sauber und Gescheid eingerichtet. Für Cairns definitiv top
