Reserva Natural Tucuchira

Ich bin ehrlich gesagt, nicht besonders begeistert von der Unterkunft. Zum einen wird man nicht informiert, dass man in den Wald hineinmuss und das ohne Guide gar nicht möglich ist. Zudem empfand ich die Preise für eine Zwei-/Eintagestour unverschämt. Ich hätte nur zwei Attraktiinen sehen wollen und trotzdem 350€ bezahlt. Touristen werden anscheinend nur mehr als laufende Geldautomaten gesehen. Wenn man, wie ein Mensch behandelt werden will, sollte man hier nicht herkommen.

I stayed for 4 nights and absolutely loved my time there. The hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming, the food is homecooked and is a little different every day, the tours and the guides are really interesting and fun. I am so happy I chose this place and would 100% choose it again. Can only recommend!

Increíble experiencia en medio de la selva. Conexión total con el lugar y su gente. Lo mejor es el equipo (Norvey, Edgar, Jessica, James, Omí y demás) que hacen de tu estadía lo más auténtica y cómoda posible en un lugar que puede ser muy difícil. RECOMENDADÍSIMO, vale cada peso.

The hostel itself is great. It’s very quiet and you’re in the jungle, hearing all the noises and sounds. It was some of the most relaxing and intimate days I’ve had on my trip. HOWEVER the activities and tours are not good. You will have better and less expensive experiences looking in Leticia with a company. I’d recommend this place for relaxing and communing with nature but not for adventures or experiences in the jungle. 2/3 tours I did felt lazily and poorly done.

Es war ein traumhafter Aufenthalt mitten im Dschungel des Amazonas. Man muss wissen, worauf man sich einlasst: Wenn man für ein paar Tage ohne Internet und Empfang auskommen kann und einfache Dusch- und Toilettenfacilities (sehr gepflegt) verkraftet, ist das der perfekte Ort den Amzonas zu genießen und ihn richtig authentisch zu erfahren. Die Betreiber sind super nett und passen das Programm individuell an.

This is a beautiful Homestay deeply secluded in the Jungle. The family here are amazing and make you feel so welcomed. Thank you Rosita for the food, James and Norbe for all your knowledge and Luis our guide through the jungle was 10/10 as well. And Manolo the toucan of course! Hosts only speak Spanish, there is no power, wifi or anything of the sort and you must bring mosquito repellent.

I loved the stay in Reserva Tucuchira, these days in the Amazon jungle are one of my highlights of my trip. One of the owner, James, already helped me a lot before the trip and showed me around Leticia and explained everything. Thank you so much James and also many thanks to all the other great people making this place so wonderful. I felt warmly welcomed and like at home :) Would definitely love to come back! Echt een fantastische tijd gehad met super aardige mensen. Heerlijk een aantal dagen helemaal afschakelen zonder internet of wifi. Dit is een echte aanrader voor natuur en cultuur liefhebbers!!

Once in a lifetime experience! My partner and I had an amazing trip! Thank you James & Rosa, and especially thank you to our amazing guide Esteban. Also thank you Edgar & Rosa the cook. I highly recommend staying here and doing tours. To arrive at Reserva Tucuchira, you must take a big boat from Leticia to Santa Sofia. If the river is low, you hike 30 minutes to the property. If the river is high, you get a small boat and go up small rivers then a short hike. They have mud boots to borrow.

We were in contact via WhatsApp and James agreed to pick us up from the airport. He never show up and we could not reach him anymore. After 2 days (!) He wrote us a message with the info were his accommodation is approximately situated and that we can come there by our own.

staff was super flexible in arranging various tourism activities. Super nice family. Went fishing, saw dolphins, went on night walks in the jungle, visited the community, slept in a hammock in the jungle!

A once in a lifetime trip. This was the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. This is your chance to fully disconnect from society. No phone service, no electricity, outdoor cold showers, outdoor bathrooms (clean and flushable toilets). Very clean. the staff is beyond incredible. They have a ton of tours to choose from ranging from 70,000-250,000. Everything is cash only so make sure you bring more than enough pesos. Contact the host on WhatsApp and they’ll set everything up for you. Thank you!!!...

Die Unterkunft ist mit viel Liebe und Detail, sowie sehr gutem Essen ausgestattet. Die Dusche und Toiletten sind außerhalb der Schlafräume. Nachts etwas Dunkel aber die Mitarbeiter stellen Kerzen auf. Es macht Sinn eine Kopflampe und eine Powerbank mitzunehmen, da es nicht immer Strom gibt. Mobilfunk so gut wie garnicht, was aber nicht schlimm ist, da der Dschungel viel interessanter ist. Die Familie hat sich immer um unser Wohl gekümmert, was einem das Gefühl von Sicherheit gab

Very amazing experience. The hosts and guides are incredibly nice and really care about your experience. Everything here is an adventure and I would highly recommend to visit Reserva Tucuchira if you want to really connect with nature.

We had amazing 5 days in Reserva Natural Tucuchira! If you search for an authentic Amazonas experience far away from mass tourism, this is your place. Norvey and his team welcomed us so warm, making sure we had all we need, offering us tours (no external tour operators, all organized from them) and we loved the interesting talks with him (in Spanish). The food that is made by Rosa is delicious and fresh! Good vibes all over the place. Muchisimas gracias for an experience we will never forget

Wir hatten wunderschöne 3 Tage in der Reserva mitten im Dschungel und haben es sehr genossen. Das Personal hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und mit den Guides haben wir unglaubliche Ausflüge im Dschungel und auf dem Amazonas gemacht. Es war ein absolutes Highlight auf unserer Kolumbien Reise, wir können diese Unterkunft nur jedem empfehlen :)

We had a lovely stay and an unbelievable experience with amazing hosts! The location was very spectacular in the middle of the Amazonas with many special animals. We adored this stay. The staff was beyond kind and accommodating. We booked tours directly through them for every day and the meals at the lodge were all delicious and feeling. Monolo, the tucán who visits the lodge daily, was a highlight of our entire trip. We would definitely stay here again!

Wow what a place! The team who run this place really make you feel at home in one of the most beautiful spots i’ve ever found myself in. Lots of great activities/tours to choose from with guides who are from local communities and really know and understand the surrounding jungle. A huge thank you to Andres, Saul, Luis and Rosa!
