The Yard Hostel

10/10!!!! The rooms were perfectly private, locked drawers were big, curtains and in each bed was shelving, hooks, extension leads etc. the communal area was beyond clean, modern, decorated, had quality amenities and supplied tea and coffee. Felt safe, staff were lovely. Will be recommending to everyone

Great hostel!! In a slightly random building but facilities were fine, feels quite hands off. Great to have a kitchen.

Great location and setup for exploring the city. I wanted somewhere clean and safe where I could get a good night's sleep, so it was perfect. The setup of the dorms is fantastic - enough space to move round, secure storage, privacy in bunks, good facilities with a light, charge point and shelf in each bed. These touches make a huge difference. Good little kitchen for drinks and snacks. Only downsides are that the mattresses are thin and it's not cheap for a dorm bed! Would stay again.

I got bit by bed bugs. Other than that, it was a great location. The rooms also had great sound proofing. Couldn’t hear anything in the lobby. Bathrooms were small though. Staff was super nice and helpful

This hostel is very well situated and has all the amenities you could need. All beds have curtain, light, shelf, PowerPoint, etc. The downside is simply the atmosphere and people. Not sure how they can fix this though! Definitely not the place to stay as a solo traveller looking to meet people.

Got bit by bed bugs here!!

Solo female traveler, stayed in female dorm. Solid stay. Great location, clean rooms. Do be aware there is no staff outside of reception hours. Luggage can be left up till the specified time day of checkout in a room which is left unlocked off of the main area. Hostel is accessed via keycode and the dorms/rooms take a keycard. Stayed in February and the heat was really high to the point of being rather uncomfortable.

Thanks guys at the Hostel for having me during my solo trip. The hostel is really secure, comfortable with a great kitchen, chill out area and sleep facilities. Very close to the main centre and central station just a couple minutes walk away - you are super close to bars and good food options and also close by to the harbour and other view points! Not the most atmospheric hostel, but people chill hard there, if you fancy a chill central location in Helsinki - go!

Wirklich gemütliches Hostel mit entspannter Atmosphäre. Einzig die Toiletten waren nicht so schön, vorallem weil man auch dort Zähne putzen musste.

Overall, Great hostel!!! Fantastic location, very good facilities. The staff were very helpful and polite!! 4/5 for cleanliness, not due to staff but limited facilities/supplies for guests to clean up after themselves (Though I'd guess some guests were unlikely to use them if offered). The only other very slight downside is the washroom/shower to bedspace ratio. When the place is fully booked, the lines get a bit long! Great stay. Very automated hostel, with all the facilities nice bathroom and washrooms. Beautiful lounge. Very well located.

I had a great stay at The Yard! Staff were lovely and helpful. One small thing is that they need more forks in the kitchen. When more than a few people were eating, there weren't any clean forks.

Great for a 1-2 night, quick stay. The bathrooms/showers are really tight space. Taking a shower is a little challenging because water gets everywhere. The pillows are thin. The bed was comfortable. Took a minute for the room to warm up. Good location.

the location was perfect but the toilets are super small and 2 of them are 2 steps far from the kitchen, so everyone can hear you if you fart 😂 and showers are small and some of them can be someone sharing next to you 😂 but if you don't mind the place its perfect

This hostel was truly a great choice close to all main sights, just a stone’s throw away from the railway station, and is also stylish and comfortable.

I got bed bugs from this hostel. Other than that, the location if pretty central and you can reach most places on foot.

beautiful hostel, centrally located. Good facilities, very clean. Has a useful board with things to do in the city. And also maps/broachures to get an understanding for the city.
