Finally got the chance to stay at The Commune in Varanasi after missing out on my previous two visits—and it was absolutely worth the wait!I spent 3 days at the property and truly loved everything about it. The property is good, somewhere a little congested. The rooms are good but the common area is too small.

Facilities are mostly fine and clean. However, the staff were a real problem. They were constantly coming in and out of the mixed dorm at all hours, and played loud music in the next room late at night. the owner was really dismissive of our own plans and pushing their own recommendations. One of the staff asked for a picture with us in the dorm, and then later made a move on one of us. Mouse dying in gluetrap in room, took ages to remove. Dont recommend.

Unfortunately, my arrival at 4am was met with no staff availability, and I had to wait outside more than three hour and change my mind for another accomodation . It would be great if the hostel could improve their late-night check-in process. Despite this, I hope the hostel will consider enhancing their services for future guest or improving late-night procedures and at least give your guest common room before check in

Due to some misunderstanding my booking got cancelled, but the staff found a solution in the middle of the night! Great position, owner and staff very friendly and accommodating! (If you are in the common dorm bring some ear plugs)

A localização é boa considerando que precisa fazer tudo a pé. Em 20 minutos está a qualquer lugar. A equipe é nota 10, principalmente a Dev que está sempre disposta a ajudar. Já a limpeza, precisam dar um pouco mais de atenção. O quarto não teve manutenção nos 3 dias que fiquei. O lixo ficou abarrotado e o banheiro sujo. É um lugar para viajante que estão acostumados e tem flexibilidade. Mas se você for uma pessoa um pouco mais sensível, digo que precisa buscar outro lugar.

would not recommend this hostel to anyone, it's understaffed and the maintenance is terrible too. please consider other properties if you want to save your time and energy.

The stay was good. The owner Mr. Piyush, he is really sensible. I feel only the receptionist's behaviour needs to be changed, or else everything is good. The stay was clean and reasonable. Highly recommended.

The property is located in the most optimal location for exploring market, food outlets, cafes, and ghats by walk and also it is very easy to take a ride to other city areas such as Lanka, just by walking to nearby Gurubag Crossing and riding a cab. The property is clean with good bedding items, reading light, and attached bathroom. It still needs more attention cleanliness wise. You can also cook your own meals in the shared kitchen.

Good ambience. Great host. Superb Location. Book it without doubt.
