Kunming Upland International Youth Hostel

It was good to stay in Upland backpacker's hostel as it was close to the things that I wanted to see

Nice and clean hostel for a couple of relaxing nights. Careful, the address on amap is wrong - the correct one is I Ye Qingcheng International Youth Hostel. Only American plugs next to the bed so quite inconvenient.

Great place. Warm friendly atmosphere, superb common room. Great service. Highly recommend.

It's my favorite accommodation in Kunming. The inn is warm and clean. The bed is very comfortable, it offers us small gifts on arrival: water bottle, condom, cotton, cotton swab, and shower towel is included. There is a restaurant and a café shop with a terrace, full of charm. The kitchen is an excellent value for money and it is very good and beautifully presented. Congratulations to the cook, the staff are always polite, helpful and pleasant.

Great location, staff helpful. Bed very comfortable, security local. They give you towels, sleepers and water too.

벌써 세번째 묵은 호스텔, 가족적인 분위기의 아늑함을 주는 호스텔^^ 식당의 오랜 베테랑 직원인 우와 장의 친절함과 우직함, 다른 모든 스탭분들의 미소와 환대가 참 훌륭했습니다. 매니저님께 얘기했습니다. 언젠가 학생들을 데리고, 다시 배낭여행으로 쿤밍을 찾아오겠다고... 그 날이 빨리 찾아오기를 고대합니다. 감사합니다 ^^

Good Hostel. Good big beds with curtain and also locker available. Hostels bars food tastes amazing. They really care about clean lavatories. It’s nearby a central subway station.

Sehr nettes Hostel :) das angegliederte Restaurant hat gutes Frühstück und die Lage ist auch gut, sehr nahe an der U Bahn Haltestelle :)

ניקיון מתחת לכל ביקורת. צוות מדהים עוזר בהכל. חוץ מהפקיד לילה, לא יודע אנגלית והיה מאוד קשה לתקשר איתו. מינימלי שידע את הקוד לוייפי. אם אין אנגלית לפחות שיהיה גוגל תרגום. חדר בסדר צפוף קצת חנוק מיטה בסדר. מיקום נהדר המסעדה נהדרת.

a wonderful location and an excellent place. unfortunately cigarette smell al over, on the terassace, in the dining rooms on the floors. why don.t you want to restrict smoking, if at all, to a few selected places, the billiard table and the noise around dominate the whole living room. i was happy to see this place after many years again, but was more happy to leave it after two nights.

Good Hostel with good food, very good atmosphere and a lot of Green! We can kommend this place if you come to Kunming. The Lake is not for a way and there is a big rooftop for Yoga or just chilling! Good place!

I loved this hostel. a must stop when traveling in Yunnan. great atmosphere and friendly people. the cafe is so convenient when it's now always easy in China to have western style breakfast or food late.

great place for backpackers. can recommend there. location also good, not to far from subway station, also city center is just 15min walk, and the lake just 5 min

Checked into a hostel on Feb 21st and found mold in my dorm. I asked to switch rooms got moved to a 8bed dorm and was given a free breakfast. The next day my ankles swelled up and itched like crazy but I was thinking it was the altitude. I moved to a 5bed & my last morning I discovered bed bugs and confronted reception. The manager tried to blame me and offered me only one night refund. After a heated argument, I got a full refund and dry cleaning money proving that they had a serious bug issue

great location, a few mins walk to the subway station and Emerald Lake. The postcard service was quite cool!
