Community Hostel

Great stay in Quito! Very close to the Mercado Principal (great for local lunches) and the old town. The view from the terrace is amazing, the staff is very helpful and friendly and despite having shared bathrooms and showers with a private room, everything was so tidy! Would highly recommend to stay here, they offer many activities there as well. Best one for us was the free walking tour with Luis, who explained a lot about the city and showed the group around to the main places.

L'hostel est un resto/bar ouvert au public, il y a des codes sur les portes dortoir/cuisine mais les gens laissent ouvert... le dortoir est juste en dessous du rooftop, il faut de bonnes boules quies. Par contre soirée sympa (salsa/karaoké), qui ne dure pas trop tard. Dernier bémol, malheureusement les douches sont tièdasses, j'ai du réclamer deux jours pour enfin avoir de l'eau chaude dans une douche.

I loved to stay at this hostel. Big rooms, big bathroom, enough kitchen facilites, lovely staff. Only I can complain one thing, they should have hairdryer at least one in the hostel. Quito is cold and we need it.

Hot showers and really comfortable pod beds. Rooftop bar and restaurant is quality but pretty expensive for Quito especially the drinks. I switched here from another hostel looking for a social atmosphere and did not find it, I think it's busier on weekends. The music from upstairs was also very audible from my bed and kept me awake even though there was no party going on.

A really lovely hostel. A little quieter whilst I stayed, however it was nice enough that I came back 2 times whilst stopping in Quito. The beds were super comfy. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff were really friendly!

Excellent hostel. I consider this my home base anytime I’m in Quito. I was in the 10-person dorm and the way the room was set up, with each bed having space beside it, a shelf, and black out curtains, I felt like I had a safe, cozy nook to recharge whenever I needed. Though due to close proximity to the market, things get noisy starting around 6:30am. To be fair, all but one of the hostels in Ecuador that I’ve stayed at 2wks into my time here have had noise pollution that started before 7:30...

Solid hostel. Good location, easy to make friends as a solo traveller, comfortable beds. Noise travels in dorms so bring earplugs.

Recomiendo totalmente este lugar, el personal es muy amable, ofrecen buenos tours, recomandadisimos tambien. Muy Limpios y hacen muchas actividades Sociales. Sin duda me volveria a quedar aqui. Todo lo del restaurante es muy delicioso!

I booked it twice, because I like the atmosphere there very much. also recommend the salsa classes and family dinner! SO MUCH FUN and a great way to get to know each other!

Great hostel in the historic center of Quito! Would recommend doing the free walking tour. I also liked the program they have every day in the evening. The beds were amazing - a lot of space and privacy. Also the lockers are really big. Staff was wonderful, always in a good mood and always there.

This is the best hostel ive ever been to. The pod style bedding provides a lot of privacy. The food is pretty good and there are yysually people hanging around. the events were really well organized and trips were easy to book. My biggest thanks is that when I got sick with a stomach bug, the staff prepared tea and food.

I had a wonderful time at Community. It's not quite as bustling as Secret Garden, but it is still plenty easy to socialize and connect with other travelers at local events. The location is wonderful for viewing and old town and the rooms are comfortable. Do note it is a bit loud so bring earplugs to avoid being woken up by the traffic or market outside!

Community Hostel absolutely deserves five stars. The staff was excellent — friendly, helpful, and always on point. You can tell the owners truly care and run the place with pride and attention to detail. And the capsules? Easily the best I’ve experienced — clean, comfortable, and perfect for resting after a long day. I would 100% stay here again.

Super clean and well equipped hostel with comfy beds and spacious dorms. Staff is super nice, wifi was good, they offer family dinners every night! Rather quiet hostel but they have an amazing rooftop. Not that it's their fault but I didn't feel very safe walking around as there are many people laying or sitting on the street :(

Such a great hostel. The food is extra class, so is the cleanliness. Nice rooftop and a kitchen available. Staff is so sweet and helpful. I extended my stay and will come back!

I'm extremely satisfied with this Hostel experience, polite staff, good location, and cool management. I hope I can return soon.

Very social hostel with great facilities. The staff were helpful and were able to organise tours, and give other advice. The hostel had the option to join dinners for an extra cost, which was great food and massive portions with vegan and vegetarian options.
