Staff and the Owners were super kind. Landscape and food was amazing!
Amazing spot. 15 minute drive from Moalboal. Total nature escape. Alan the owner is full of great advice and very helpful. I will say that it’s not really a hostel and more of a retreat, but fully worth booking if you want a couple quiet days in nature.
If you think about visiting your family. ( the part of the family that you actually like) that’s how you can imagine the comfort level at Eskapo verde. Not just for your tummy, but also for the soul. A warm welcome, some good advice for every situation, a little educational and damn the tuna was tasty. A place I would recommend to my grandparents aswell as to my best friends. You might need a scooter to be a little mobile.
Loved my stay at Eskapo Verde Lodge. It felt like a school camp escape, set right in the mangroves! It was peaceful and a refreshing change from busy Moalboal. The staff and owners were incredibly kind, helpful and you could tell they genuinely cared for not just you but also the environment! The food at the restaurant was great. Only minor downsides were no privacy curtains on beds and the 8–10 km distance from town, but that’s the trade-off for a quiet, eco-style stay. Highly recommend!
Lovely stay outside of moalboal- good for a quiet stay, away from the busy! lovely staff and they have activities to partake in! the restaurant food was amazing- worth a trip for a quieter, relaxation stay
Woooow! We loved our stay at eskapo verde. The staff and owners were lovely and gave good recommendations for activities around moalboal. Me and my friend loved the chill and quiet nature surrounding the accommodation. The best thing was probably the food, just incredible! The chicken adobo was unreal, best meal we’ve had during our 2 month trip around south east Asia 😍
Really special beautiful place. So much nicer to stay here a little bit out of town in nature than in the town properly. So peaceful and the owners are lovely and the restaurant is delicious with great vegetarian options. The dorms are so lovely. When we stayed we had a whole 10 bed dorm to ourselves
Everything exceeded expectations, the owners Alain and Simon are super nice and engage with guests, giving lots of helpful information to plan your excursions while you stay here. The housekeeping/office/restaurant staff are real salt of the earth people and do their jobs very well. Fred is a standout chef at the restaurant. If you eat at the restaurant, expect food to take a while to be prepped, its all fresh.
This place is incredible. Probably my favorite stay in the Philippines. It felt like I was back in camp walk around the property. So many cool trails, view points and mangroves to see! The walk in on the bridge is amazing. You can kayak or paddle board through the mangroves and ocean which I highly recommend, Bryant is great. The rooms and bathrooms were perfect and clean. The owner and staff are fantastic! Really well run place and I hope to be back someday.
Eskapo Verde is the perfect place to realign with island life. I loved my stay here, the proximity to nature being the highlight. The onsite restaurant serves a deliciously varied menu, the deck out to the mangroves provides the perfect place to sit and read, but most importantly the staff here are so unbelievably friendly. Being a solo traveller I never felt alone at this hostel, it felt sad to be leaving! Thank you so much for the most wonderful stay, I hope to be back one day in the near futu...
I had such such such an amazing time here - it was a really nice escape from the noisy and busy town center. Alan and the other staff went above and beyond for me and the food at the restaurant was the best Filipino food I have ever had in my trip
Best place we have been in Philippines so far! Host are super nice and share good plans. The restaurant is so good that you dont want to eat in moalboal anymore Go for it !
It’s a good 15min drive from town and the road is not the best and there’re not many lights on the way. So have a think about it if you’re a female solo traveler. It does get a bit scary driving down at night. No a/c, but the fan does a good job during the night. The problem is that there’s no curtains in the room so depending on your position the sun will rise facing your bed and will wake up sweating.
All in all a perfect stay. Great food in the restaurant. Absolutely wonderful owners. Felt like living in a proper resort although I was staying in a dorm. Real backpacker luxury!!
Amazing place. Beautiful, simple, everyone is very nice and welcoming. Best food I had in the Philippines, too!
Although short, our group had a great time at Eskapo. Exactly what as advertised - close enough to get a tuk tuk to the canyoneering at Kawasan falls (why we chose this hostel) or Moalboal for night time activities. Dorm room and food options were great. Owner Simon and staff were fantastic and everyone around the hostel had extremely welcoming aura. Would 100% consider a longer stay / recommend to anyone in the area.
I had a wonderful stay at Eskapo Verde. It is a great place to see and experience everything in and around Moalboal while also enjoying a more quiet place in nature. The dorms, the restaurant and the staff were truly lovely.
Really nice place to stay and relax. It’s not out of the city a fair scooter ride would be the only down fall. One of the nicer and relaxing places I stayed. The kitchen was excellent, no air in the dorm’s but stay cool enough.
