Early Birds

If you are in Arugam for surfing it‘s a nice hostel. For hanging out in the hostel i wouldn‘t recommend it. It‘s not very clean, the wifi and electricity often don‘t work. Breakfast is simple. However it is located very well and for me it was completely fine. I would go there again. And you can not ignore the price. For that money you shouldn‘t expect something extraordinary.

Die Lage des Hostels war super und das Frühstück war o.k. Leider war es alles andere als sauber. Die Betten hatten Flecken und wurden auch sicher schon lange nicht gewechselt. Das Bad war eine Katastrophe, da wurde definitiv einige Wochen/Monate nicht mehr geputzt! Die Mitarbeiter waren allerdings super nett! Wir sind jedoch froh, dass wir nur 2 Nächte dort verbringen mussten!

Overall solid hostel for a few night here in arugam bay. It’s nice and quiet away from the mainroad noice

Staff is nice, and the outside area is ok and spacious, but it is quite overpriced for what it is. Broken lockers, broken hammocks, broken coffee machine, there’s never any toilet paper, no hand soap after using the bathroom, no body soap. Breakfast is very basic. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t go back.

we had a lovely stay at early birds! the staff is very nice and welcoming and the rooms are very clean. the hostel is about a 5 min walk from the beach, the location is a little walk from the city, which makes it nice and quiet. we can only recommend to go there, you will not regret it:) 10/10 experience!!

Nice and social hostel. The breakfast included was good and the beds were comfortable. Staff was really friendly and arranged activities and surflessons. Sadly the bathrooms were dirty and no toiletpaper. The sink in the female dorm was also broken and the waterpressure really bad at times.

Fantastic location and a very peaceful, quiet, chill hostel. I ended up staying here for 10 days as the staff were so relaxed and friendly, the hostel was very clean and the location was just perfect. Felt very safe and comfortable in this hostel.

The property has a really nice vibe. The whole place is clean, peaceful, and it is in a fantastic location! It’s very close to Main Point. You don’t even need a tuk tuk to go surfing, just walk! Also the staff are so nice and were very helpful when I needed something or had any questions. I highly recommend staying here!!

The owner and the staff were super friendly and nice! Every morning you get a diffrent delicious breakfast. You can see that they all make with love. A cute small hostel💛

We had a perfect stay and enjoyed the time a lot!! We had at early birds the best sleep and breakfast in sri lanka so far. Fully recommended:))
