In an area definitely worth visiting this is a great and easy stay. Close to the station and with the bus close by near a beautiful area it's close to all you need. The beds are set up so that the dorms feel much calmer and quieter than you'd think. Only real point of improvement would be the atmosphere in the area downstairs which feels more like a cafe with separate tables than a welcoming room for travelers to come together.
Stayed here for 2 nights in the dorm. The beds are not the most comfortable. Showers and toilets are gender separated and clean. Kitchen is clean and well stocked as well. Very close to JR Noboribetsu station and an easy bus ride up to Noboribetsu Onsen itself. The breakfast and coffee / milk provided is appreciated. The staff was kind and in particular went out of their way to help during yesterday’s tsunami warning. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Noboribetsu.
Best and only hostel in the town. Jokes aside it was fantastic, go there.
Had an amazing stay here. Facilities good and Staff were very nice. Free breakfast is an absolute win! Would recommend having a car as gives you good access to hikes and to the onsen and not being overly reliant on the buses/trains which aren’t super regular.
Lovely place super clean and welcoming
Great place to stay at Noboribetsu! It's right beside the JR Station, so you won't have any trouble getting around if you're passing through or taking the bus to Onsen Town. The staff was lovely; they provided good conversation and very useful recommendations about onsen. The ambience is nice and I was able to make a couple of friends. There's a couple of good restaurants nearby too. The place is super clean, super comfortable and homey. Breakfast is simple, but more than enough and an amazing v...
The hostel is a great base. It’s a quiet town with day trips to beautiful nature sights. The staff are so funny and make being at the hostel a joy! Facilities are very good.
Good place to stay. The dorm is a bit small for everyone, so you can hear everybody moving or waking up.
The location was just fine, the main attraction is at a higher area but it’s seemed normal for people to stay their and there is hourly public transportation to the volcanic site. The hostel- the staff was very very nice and helpful, the breakfast was just enough, the dorms were big and satisfying and so has the bathrooms. I guess it’s just not the best one I’ve been but it’s nice.
Even better than the photos show, this was such a wonderful stay! The beds are so cosy and comfortable, like a mini room each. The staff were so kind and sweet and the included breakfast was an extra bonus! The location is super easy, literally two min from the station and a simple 12 min bus to the onsen town. Highly recommend!
Good stay in Noboribetsu. I recommend it.
1er séjour en guest HOUSE au Japon en Famille et rien à redire sur l’ensemble, séjour très agréable et calme.
Very conveniently located close to the train station, can easily access to the bus to go to the more popular area of Noboribetsu. The hostel itself is in a very calm district. The facilities are clean and the staff is so so helpful. Would definitely stay there again
All great, comfortable and cozy. Only suggestions is for a better heating in the dorm. Hokkaido on winter is cold and, particularly the first night, I was cold and slept with my hat and scarf.
직원분들이 엄청 친절하고 시설이 깨끗합니다
The amenities were ok for the price, but I did not feel safe as a solo female traveller because of the crowd staying there. When I first entered the hostel, there were many older men staring at me up and down. I got the female only dorm, but I was the only one in the 20 bed room and it was creepy. The room door couldn’t be locked so I spent the night worrying that one of those said men would enter. Planned to stay for 2 nights but ended up changing to 1 night only as I felt really uncomfortabl...
Sorry, but I cannot recommend to come here. On the good side: The staff is nice, everything is very clean and it is very much next to the train station - that is all true. On the bad side: The good location doesnt really help you, as there is literally nothing around. It‘s a dead town, with a 20min bus ride to get to the actual Noboribetsu Onsen area. There is no A/C in the entire building (for 22 beds!), so if you come in the summer time, you are sweating in the night like hell, especially ...
