Incroyable séjour 👍🏻
Beautiful location on a coffee farm, a bit out of town but not a problem as Jane organised a taxi for me whenever I needed. As a solo traveller loved the family dinners to meet other people and Jane's food - the best Sunday Roast I've had in a long time. This place felt like home and you should definitely try their cooking classes ( I did the empanada one - really worthwhile). Highly recommend, I will be back.
Felipe and Jane are so nice and the hostel is full of activities. The atmosphere in La Hacienda is very chill and overall experience was fantastic☺️☺️🤜🤛🫶🏞️🌅
Jane and Filipe were amazing hosts to us. Their property is worth the trip outside of San Gil. A great quiet place to spend the night. We fell in love with their pets. And they made us an amazing dinner They let us bring our bikes inside and helped us plan our route for the next day. Thank you again Jane and Filipe ❤️
Ci siamo sentiti come a casa! Un posto meraviglioso dove rilassarsi in mezzo alla natura! Gli anfitrioni sono due persone fantastiche con una energia molto positiva che ti fanno sentire benvenuto e accolto! Grazie mille!
La Hacienda felt like coming home - it was just what we needed after 5 months of travelling. Jane and Filipe were the most welcoming hosts and lovely people who couldn’t do more to make sure you had the best stay possible. The breakfasts and dinners were some of the best meals we have eaten (still dreaming about the homemade garlic bread) and the location was beautiful.
Einfach Toll. Ich war für 5 Nächte dort. Hier kann man dem Stadtleben flüchten und die Natur genießen. Auch die Besitzer sind sehr toll drauf :)
La Hacienda is a great place to stay if you want to relax & enjoy nature. The views are magnificent & breakfasts excellent. Jane & Felipe make their own bread rolls for breakfast, tasty. So many different birds to watch. A pretty path leads down to the road down to San Gil through the working coffee farm. The rooms are nicely painted & a centre courtyard is a great place to relax in a hammock. It's cooler weather being at an altitud so the hot shower is welcome. I'd definitely stay there again...
Loved my stay here! Jane and Felipe were so kind and helpful, and it’s in such a calm, beautiful location.
I went by myself. Stayed four nights. Haike, the owner, is free-spirited, passionate about her mission, and a SWEET person that I already miss! The staff at the Ecolodge are also full of smiles and laughs. The guides were so knowledgeable, jungle is literally in their blood. The Tikuna community are just living life. Everything there was just perfect!
c'est un de mes hosteles favories. j'y retourne dès que possible. les hôtes sont parfaits. la vue est la meilleure qu'il y a.
Loved my stay at La Hacienda!! Can recommend 100%
Well. This is not A hostel. This is a beautiful home with even more beautiful hosts. So, if you're looking for something different than the usual hostels and party backpacker, that's the place. A place where you feel home and welcomed. It's quite off the beaten track, so you may need some kind of transportation or you can use the taxi of a friend of Jane and Philipe. After 25 countries and countless hostels, this is my absolute favorite.:)
That place is amazing. Jane and Felipe are gold. The food is incredible. Very calm and warm place. I recommand 100%
Filipe and Jane at La Hacienda—two gems in a cozy shell. They're all heart, cooking amazing meals, especially killer pizzas and breakfast. They bake fresh sourdough daily which is a total San Gil rarity! The hostel is like a slice of heaven surrounded by cafe and citrus farms. There's a path right from the hostel to Curiti and you can enjoy swimming in Pozo El Paraiso after your hike. The hostel is very old , well maintained with a beautiful view of city. It has spacious and very clean rooms...
We first spend a few nights in the centre of San Gil. After those busy days we were glad we could escape to La Hacienda. This hostel has amazing views, great owners and the most relaxing atmosphere! They were also really helpful with arranging buss tickets. (And Jane is great cook)
La Hacienda in San Gil is a fantastic place to stay. The hostel, located outside the city, offers a comfortable experience that feels like home. Felipe and Jane, the owners, go above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Transportation can be arranged through the hostel for 10,000-25,000 pesos. The food is incredibly good, with a choice of Colombian and international cuisines. They have lovely pets. The rooms are spacious with hot showers and lockers. I would definitely book here again.
Incredible hostel a lovely location, really peaceful. Jane and Felipe are brilliant hosts making you feel very welcome. They are always happy to help, this is one of my favourite hostels I have been to
La hacienda is a wonderful experience to take a break and to feel like home in Colombia. Jane and Felipe have wonderful spirits, you will enjoy your time for sure. Take your chance to take a break and to get to meet two beautiful people!
We loved the Hacienda! it was the perfect place to chill, in between a hike and rafting. It's a little out of town, but worth it, cause the view of the valley and sunset is amazing! Jane and Felipe are super nice and made us feel at home immediatly! They make the most delicious and enormous pizza and fresh homemade bread every morning. And there is a kitchen well equiped but they can also cook delicious meals. There is a beautiful 2 hour hike to Curiti from there.
