Ambar Hostel San Gil

L’auberge est sympathique, propre. Nous y sommes aller en période basse, il n’y avait personne dans l’auberge avec nous, malheureusement pas d’ambiance. Beaucoup de règles à respecter, c’est un peu déroutant. Nous avons voulu faire une « laundry » mais on nous a rendu nos affaires juste mouillées. Pas très pratique. Cécilia est très gentille et arrangeante, mais un petit air de surveillante constamment sur nos faits et gestes.

El personal fue muy amable porque me permitió hacer check-in temprano (me permitieron ducharme y dejar mi ropa en su lavandería). El hostel es muy bonito y se ve nuevo todas las zonas comunes son bonitas y funcionales. Ofrecen actividades con agencias aunque puedes encontrar mejores precios preguntando directamente en agencias. Ofrecen comida, tomé el desayuno y una cena y estaban ricos y bien de precio. Sin embargo, la última noche tuve que matar 4 cucarachas en mi habitación...Espero que ...

The location is excellent, staff very helpful, kitchen well equpped. The facilities generally are exxellent. Nice and peaceful.

Teníamos una reserva con ellos y al llegar al hotel no les aparecía, y la única solución fue darnos una habitación más costosa. Nos tocó reservar en otro lugar

If you are a backpacker and looking for a welcoming and cheap place, stay away from this place. There are plenty of options at the same or cheaper price in San Gil. It is ran by the wrong people. Also according to their page, facility includes self catering facilities, hot tub/ jacuzzi and the showers with hot water. - the kitchen only serves as a restaurant, not for the use of the guests - they ask 30000 pesos for jacuzzi - you need to ask reception every time for hot water
