The breakfast was great. Everyone who worked at the hostel was super friendly and incredibly helpful. It was not the cleanest place in the world, but given hostels in Langkawi seem expensive, I'd say it was decent for the money. Most people at the hostel seemed to me to be 40+, it was still a nice social vibe. Location is amazing!
It’s cheap, and you get what you pay for. The beds are not good, but it’s somewhere to sleep. Downtown is only a few minutes away by walking, which is really convenient. It has everything you need, but it’s nothing fancy.
Great place to stay, on a back road so nice and quiet, short walk, couple of hundred metres, to a busy high street with many many food shops, everything you could need, close to a beach, well recommended, also a bar on site
Rainbow Lodge has a wonderful, welcoming, kind, and patient staff who are the highlight of the hostel. The bar is cheap with great service and food, and the atmosphere most nights was also lovely. The rooms, however, are a weak point. When we arrived, the bedsheets were very stained, the sink was dirty, the toilet leaked, and the towels were mouldy. The staff did address all of our concerns, but it’s a shame the room was in that state to begin with.
Overpriced. there is much (much) better quality for much cheaper on the island.
Our favourite hostel. Clean room, great location, all the staff are so lovely and welcoming. The bar/restaurant attached is cheap and the food is delicious. And has a pool table. Absolutely loved it 😊
