A lovely chill place to stay, not super social but it’s creative and good music plays all day! Nice cafe to lounge in and lots of plants surrounding. Really close to Cenang but doesn’t feel busy at all. View over a paddy field with cows and dogs around. The cafe offers really good coffee and some nice food. There’s games, books and crafts in the cafe too.
Spent 2 weeks here. Really nice place away from the hustle bustle of cenang. The hustle bustle is easily accessible though. Have a nice cafe too. I went to Langkawi to just chill for 2 weeks and this place was perfect for me.
Lovely host and great fun experience.
Wasn’t the best place to stay. We had a mosquito net over the bed but despite this, the room and bed was filled with mosquitos so the net did nothing. We asked reception if they had any bug spray so we could get rid of them but they didn’t. Showers weren’t great, only 1 of the toilets/showers light was working and it wasn’t very clean.
Freundliche Gastgeber, tolle Atmosphere, wenn man es mag in der Natur zu sein. Schlafraum ist offen, aber jedes Bett hat Moskitonetze. Sanitäranlage war immer ordentlich und es gab Shampoo und Handtücher
Perfect for a short stop on Langkawi! Floating beds were comfy and nets kept mosquitos away. It was pretty breezy in the sleeping area and the main area so it wasn’t too hot. Walkable to a quieter beach (at least during our stay). Make sure you have cash on you to pay the cost of staying and for breakfast/food/coffee! Koko was great and so kind and welcoming. Definitely a more relaxed environment
Mice staff and did not seem very busy at all
no one to greet us, no proper cooling down, no beds ready, ownsers unteachable. cannot recommend.
coco (the owner) was so accomidating and lovely! such a funny guy. the experience of sleeping in a hanging bed was so much fun, you got a large lockable chest for storage which was very helpful. 1 minute walk away for the beach and only 20 minutes drive from any attractions.
Best Hostel in lankawi 🫶🏻
Our stay here was horrible. We stayed in a private room & had to use flashlights all the time because the lighting was so bad. Also there is a fan but it doesn’t really work and since the room is open it gets very hot at night. The blankets are tiny which means you can choose which half of your self you want to cover. The bathrooms are dirty, full of insects and would definitely need a renovation. The owner seemed to be on something all the time and rooms don’t lock properly. Felt very unsaf...
the staff are really friendly and helpful, the location is a bit further from the centre but only a 10 min walk to the beach so still good. there’s no lock on the door so anyone can enter the bedroom but they do give you a box and lock for your bags. there’s no air conditioning only fans and mosquito nets on the beds. i was woken up at 5am every day from all the noise outside think it was animals? good value for the money though. and there was only 3 of us staying in a 20 bed room.
A very interesting place and project. I would visit again
Bed bugs. No ac and the doors don’t close ( anyone can come inside the room) do not recommend
so the restaurant is closed and the staff are basically never there. There was literally no one there which was odd. kinda perfect for me and my friend as we had a whole hostel to ourselves which was jokes ! i was so thankful i wasn't alone.
Got bit by bed bugs all over my body, the staff is nice tough.
Vibey place with a good restaurant that do fab smoothie bowls, but I slept awful. There are soooo many mosquitos that seem to get into the net, I was covered in bites. The beds downstairs kind of bang against the walls which is noisy too. Also didn’t love that anyone could just come and go, but they do give you padlocks.
it’s a great hostel with a very chill atmosphere, I really enjoyed my stay here. don’t worry about the „20 bed dorm“ - it’s a house with two floors and individual beds with mosquito nets, its feels more private than most dorms. I also loved that the beds are hanging from the ceiling. They serve good and cheap local food during the day and great smoothie bowls for breakfast. it’s a bit of a walk to the beach but that also means it’s away from the busy tourist area, aka nice and quie...
Cats galore, Convenient location. Filthy, not working showers, and not due to local water shortages. Filled garbage bags sitting around lounge area for days…. Reception availability only during check in/ out periods. No new towels/ bedding provided on daily base.
The social area is nice and chilled out, not very social though. If you get bit by mosquitoes alot (like me) I probably wouldn't recommend staying here. The beds are also suspended on ropes from the ceiling so I didn't get a very good night sleep because every time you roll over, the bed moves and sometimes bangs against the wall. Nice showers and toilets though. And the ducks and cats are cute 🥰
