I stayed at Jay’s Guest House 2 with Angela (Jay’s mom) and everything was lovely. I had a difficult situation (external to them) at one point but Angela helped me out immediately and made sure I was safe. I would recommend that you contact them a bit in advance and let them know if you are planning to eat there or not since they will probably expect you to have dinner there and they’ll have something cooked for you when you arrive.

Good location for hiking the Blue Mountain although staff has to be more clear beforehand about the Google Maps route not working. Easy to get stuck on the horrendous roads there.

Jay's is a wonderful spot to discover the rural Blue Mountain coffee-growing community. Budget for pick up at Mavis Bank, and for ride to trail head -- you will not be able to drive to property (The mtn is where old land rovers go to be resurrected, and dirt bikes are how locals get around). Simply appointed rooms; everything was in working order. Donnette cooked lovely traditional Jamaican dinners and breakfasts. The views of the mountains are beautiful. Definite authentic JA experience.

I was well taken care of, Mr and Mrs Jackson are approachable and kind hosts, the view from the hostel is beautiful, it was the perfect place to find peace after spending some days in busy Kingston and the hike to the peak was well worth it

Perfect destination for visiting the Blue Mountains. Authentic jamaican food, guided hikes to the peak and of course Blue Mountain Coffee at breakfast with sunrise views. Jays whole family made me feel welcome from the start I was a solo traveller and they couldn't do enough for me. Jay was on hand on whatsapp to sort any excursions or activities I wanted to do. Thanks again Mark

Zum Beispiel wurde und Bei der Tour über die Kaffee-Farm lediglich eine Pflanze gezeigt und nichts dazu erklärt. Dies fand ich für 15 $ enttäuschend.
