My stay at Tucan was nice! It was really quiet, as there were not many people staying at the hostel, which I appreciated. We even had a 10-person dorm to ourselves one night, sharing with just one other person another night. So not amazing to meet people but good for resting quietly. The staff were helpful: they stored our luggage for five days during the Salkantay trek for free and assisted us in organising our Vinicunca trek.
Gewoon prima.
BEST HOSTEL IN CUSCO! I felt at home. The beds are so comfortable and the building is very cute. I loved my stay
Had a lovely stay here at Tucan hostel. Stayed for 8 nights and kept my luggage here while I traveled to Machu Picchu, that was a huge help! The room, kitchen, and communal spaces were very clean and cozy. Great places to hang out if you didn't want to be in your room. Is in a great location, about an 10 minute walk to the main plaza, and lots of great cafes and dinner spots close by. Wasn't looking for the party hostel vibe so this was perfect, very calm and quiet. Would definitely stay again.
Hostel was comfortable and quiet - exactly what we were looking for in Cusco. Not much atmosphere but this didn’t bother us for our stay. The staff were helpful and let us check in early. The only annoying thing was that there was a surcharge to pay with card, but they didn’t always have change if you wanted to pay with cash.
Very nice, clean, quiet hostel with a hot shower.
The hostel’s facilities are good and the cleaners are high every day. There are not really a vibe at the hostel and the guy at the front desk are helpful, but only if you ask concrete questions.
Quiet, chill, good kitchen and comfortable beds. Up a large hill and no free breakfast
I recently stayed 3 nights a Tucan Hostel and my stay was overall one of the best I’ve ever had. The staff were amazing and very helpful, the rooms were cleaned daily, common areas and spaces around were beautiful. Amazing cafe attached for a cheap breakfast. Slightly up the hill but only a 10 minute walk to Plaza De Armas. I couldn’t recommend this hostel enough.
we loved our stay
One of our favourite places we’ve stayed in 2 months of travelling. Private room was spacious and clean, and whole place felt secure. Quiet enough to sleep well before treks, but also a nice communal area where we met a couple of nice people. Really useful communal kitchen and helpful on front desk at organising tours. Also loved getting great coffee next door each morning. We’d love to come back!
Shouldn’t be a hostel. It feels more like a hotel very unsocial place and no socializing area.
This was the perfect hostel for us to stay at before our multi day trek. We wanted a quiet place that was clean. The staff were all kind and helpful and we booked a sacred valley tour through them. Highly recommend! We stayed here after our trek too because it was so peaceful and beautiful.
Loved the private room and common area. Hostel was quite and close to main plaza. I highly recommend this hostel.
Tucan was a quiet, comfy stay in Cusco after doing the 4-day Salkantay Trek. The private room was spacious and had a great, hot shower. No breakfast unfortunately, but there are great cafes nearby to go to instead. Atmosphere was quite quiet, so take that as you may. Staff were friendly enough, but my one gripe is that they don’t carry change if you pay by cash.
Overall a fine place to stay. Staff was friendly. We stayed in the 3 bedroom and it was very dusty, I woke up coughing both nights. If you’ve got dust allergies I’d just stay elsewhere. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and they gave us extra blankets because it was cold. The shower was hot.
