Our stay at Marlon's House was very nice! The staff was very forthcoming and helped us with all our inquiries. There is tea (Cocoa Leaves and more) readily available at any time, which was a big plus for us. The main square is reachable in a few mins by foot.
This was a lovely stay. I only stayed one night but wish that I would’ve spent my entire time in Cusco here. The lady who runs the place is so sweet and helpful. The breakfast is lovely and the rooms are cozy. It’s conveniently located and affordable.
Fijn verblijf. Privékamer voor een goede prijs. Erg fijne badkamer met warme douche. Redelijk luidruchtig pand & mager ontbijt.
We love Marlons house! Would really recommend it. So cozy and homely.
Stayed for a weekend. Close to San Pedro market and Plaza de Armas. Good laundry just around the corner. My room just above the "courtyard" - the lobby/sitting area/kitchen. My room had a double bed and a bunk bed, though as is often the case, sound travels through doors and walls, so earplugs are helpful. "American breakfast" is really a continental breakfast. Served the typical pan with marmelade and cheese along with a bowl of fruit and juice. Staff are young, respectful, and relatively shy.
I would NOT recommend this hotel, and will NOT stay here again. I booked for a night, and asked them if I could check in earlier because I'd go very early in the next morning to Macchu Picchu, and if I could have breakfast for the same day, they said it was ok. When I got there, the receptionist looked like she was doing me a favor, and didn't give me a key to the room (the room smelled bad and had no windows). The other room had nasty STAINS on the blanket and the balcony door didn't close!
L'établissement est très bien situé a côté de la place principale. Le personnel est très gentille et de très bon conseil je vous recommande fortement l'établissement
Hostel muy bonito cerca del centro de Cusco, personal muy agradable, desayuno rico, recomiendo 100%
It was an okay place to stay. However hot water does not work I only had one hot shower the rest were cold and I stayed over 4 nights. Hairdryer almost blew up. Breakfast was great the first day and then most was stale. They also advertise as no curfew but they wouldn’t let me in at 3:30 am no matter what I did. The door man fell asleep. They didn’t even verbally apologise. I didn’t pay for that night as I had to find elsewhere. Light also didn’t work in my 2nd room. Door lock questionab...
This was a great place to crash. They offered free tea and had a small breakfast in the mornings. They didn't speak much English but were friendly. The did however overcharge us on our first visit. It was only $4 & I guess they could use it more than me. The only downside was they didn't have water on arrival. They promised hot water in the morning, but that never worked out. A cold shower in the 40F/4.5C weather was not my idea of fun, but memorable! It made me more grateful for what I have.
I truly feel I have to warn other travellers about this. Despite booking my stay well in advance, upon my arrival the receptionist led me to a completely other hostel where “my reservation was”. I received no explanation as to why I was moved but followed her nonetheless (it was late). The new hostel was awful - mouldy bathroom, spotty wifi, ant infestation AND they charged me more money than the original booking. It is despicable that Marlon’s House treated a reservation like this.
This hostel was not as expected! We arrived in the early morning and had to wait in the cold and not really comfortable common area. We were looking forward to the breakfast buffet you can see in the pictures - but it came pretty clear that the pictures show not at all the reality. Instead of a buffet there is only some plain bread, butter and jam. The staff was not that friendly and seemed to be annoyed when we had questions or problems, e.g. when the hot water (again) didn‘t work in our roo...
Great location and great price. Friendly staff who could speak basic English. Only issue was that there was no water both evenings we stayed (toilet or shower) due to it being so close to the centre of Cusco (as there’s not enough water to meet demand).
Marlon's House is full of charm and character. We stayed twice, in 2 different rooms, one overlooking the courtyard and the other overlooking the street. The floors were not all level and hot water and filtered drinking water weren't always immediately available, but the beds were piled with warm blankets so we were never cold even in the winter (August). Staff were very nice but seemed occasionally confused. Close to restaurants and the San Pedro Market. In-house travel agency available.
Super nice place to stay and warm and welcoming staff! They made my days more enjoyable in Cusco
10000/10 estrellas!
Nice hostel, clean, the staff is really helpful (even went with us to the airport to find a solution cause our flight got cancelled), most of the travelers are from South Amerika. It was a cool stay thanks!
