Everything perfect! Would come back :)
Wanaka itself is the perfect destination! And this hostel just added to that! The outside garden area was perfect for chilling in and chatting. The kitchen was a great size for everyone cooking and was kept super clean!
Location is nice, a few minutes from the Wanaka city centre. Kitchen and bathroom were also nice, enough outlets in the dorm, and a very sweet cat at the hostel! Big outdoor place to hang out if the weather allows it as well!!

Loved this hostel! Such a lovely vibe, nice communal areas and kitchen, nice location, very friendly people and staff. Would stay again!
The hostel has a nice vibe, but the facilities are a bit run down. Showers ran hot to cold constantly and the cookers were pretty inefficient, meaning people were often waiting to be able to cook.
A well organized hostel in a house in which normally families would and should live. A house turned into a hostel. The dorms lack space, they are packed with beds. When you know the price for a night, then you know what the profit is made. This place is far too expensive!
This was one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Each guest gets their own side of a fridge shelf plus a box in the kitchen for their food. It’s cleaned thoroughly throughout the day and staff are very helpful. Very social vibe due to all the communal space. Will definitely stay again!

Very cozy and lovely hostel. Been there for 3 nights and it felt like "home" and a break from traveling. Also Wanaka is incredibly beautiful. Would deffo come again and highly recommend.

My friends and I had a wonderful time staying here! Most people we met were living here for a longer period of time giving the hostel a very homely, cozy and friendly feeling! I would definitely recommend this hostel to people who are after a social and inviting place to stay! Thanks for making our stay amazing!
Basically all long termers. It’s a converted bungalow and then a extension built in the garden with 4 rooms and bathrooms. All inside doors of the rooms go to the ‘hallway’ and none of these doors have locks. The outside doors are glass sliding doors to the garden which were always left wide open. There is no Mountain View anymore as there is a new build in front of the bungalow so false advertising there. Own section in fridge so when checking out my stuff was thrown away but I hadnt left...
Nice hostel with a great outdoor area. Clean kitchen and bathrooms. Dorms a bit small. Good location near to the city.
Very cosy feel and staff were lovely, also the addition of their own vegetable patch was amazing! The only complaint I’d is there weren’t really enough toilets but a lovely hostel nonetheless!
Great location, nice room but the staff not so great - I arrived at 7:15pm only to find reception had closed at 5pm. I called the number of a duty manager that said he lived on-site. He answered the phone with a suspicious "who is this?". I explained I was here to check in but instead of walking a few meters to reception he did everything over the phone including telling me my key was in the mail box on the street! (very poor security). Also little or on hot water in the bathrooms.

Only stayed for one night so can’t really comment on the social side but had to leave a review because I had the best dinner I’ve had in ages all thanks to the veg garden!! Such an amazing extra, and the whole garden is such a lovely place to just sit, eat, read, etc. Really secure (garden gate locked at night), lovely little cat :) Bathrooms and kitchen were clean and organised and the hostel didn’t feel too crowded. Would definitely recommend if you want somewhere peaceful

hele gezellige plek! het is een redelijk klein hostel maar daardoor ontmoet je juist sneller mensen. hele grote tuin met hangmatten en tafels, top als het mooi weer is. de keuken is niet heel groot maar net goed genoeg voor het aantal mensen. zeker een aanrader met mooi weer!!
