Phuket Sunny Hostel

This was a great find in Phuket Old Town, not only do I recommend staying in this area, but it really is an affordable option centrally located in this busy area. The host was really kind and shared a bunch of recommendations with me. I was lucky and got a room to myself so it was really a great surprise. I also easily added an extra night so I could leave my things and shower before my sleeper bus.

Good location in the centre of Phuket old town. Advertised as a twin room but one mattress was on the floor.

Cleanest hostel ever. Very friendly staff and manager. An amazing experience. Christine was very helpful and made my stay super memorable!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Awful awful place, bed bugs infested hell hol the bathrooms were not clean and the whole hostel smelled really bad. My entire room was shaking because of the music from the bar below until 1 in the morning. Do not book this hostel. BED BUGS!!

Après avoir vue les nombreux avis positifs, nous avons réservées sans appréhension. Néanmoins, il n’y avait pas de rideaux dans les lits donc pas d’intimité, on était pas sûr que les lits soient changées et des gens s’asseyaient dessus aussi. Une ambiance bizarre, et un personnel envahissant qui ne comprends pas très bien l’anglais. Un séjour étrange.

Such a good hostel! So comfortable and plenty of space. Really good location. Staff were amazing and gave me great recommendations, they were really helpful with laundry and checkout as well. So good, wish I could’ve stayed longer!

Overall it was a nice experience, the bathroom was clean and the bed was okay with the ac nice and cold. The staff were very lovely, and very helpful. The common room had no ac.

The host “anna” was very very sweet and inviting+accommodating while I stayed at the hostel, her English was outstanding. She gave good recommendations and advice. The hostel itself was a great value, you’ll find more expensive hostels providing less. The AC was adjustable and kept us cool. comfy and cleanly rooms, cleanly bathrooms. Even provided beds close together in the same room for my girlfriend and I. If I return to Phuket and need a hostel, I’d stay here. Best old town ho...

Very cozy , calm and clean environment. The rooms are clean quite big in size comparing to other hostel . Lovely stuff, specially Anna she’s extremely lovely and very helpful . She always willing to give me the best attention , provide solutions to all needs , and she’s always with a big smile and attitude .

Good hostel. Feels like a family vibe. Not super social but had a good room of chatty travellers. Pretty open so have to be comfortable with sleeping without curtains. Helpful staff to give you advice on what to do

We enjoyed our stay here, the lady at reception is lovely. It’s a great location, right in the old town! Our room was small but comfortable, the showers are very spacious too. The one downside is the bar right underneath the property, it was so loud and vibrating through our beds. Not a problem after 1am though, just annoying if you want an early night!

At first I was a bit thrown off by no bed curtains in the dorms, but it turned out to be very fun and integrating. It felt like one big sleepover and helped making friends a lot. In the end I didn’t really mind it. The hostel is very clean and staff lovely, and incredibly helpful 🫶 The only thing I’d say might improve my stay would be if there were bedside lamps, as it makes it difficult to navigate if you need to get up very early/come back late and don’t want to wake your roommates.

Sunny hostel is my favorite hostel that I have stayed in on my southeast asia trip the service of the host is phenomenal and she truly went above and beyond to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The location of the hostel in old town is perfect and she was super helpful with helping us print documents for another trip, providing us with transportation, and general advice about the area. The rooms were fantastic and comfortable and the bathroom facilities were spotless as well. Thank you!!!

The manager is the best, she really made our stay great. Huge hug to her and our thanks. She is 1000% the reason I'd come back and stay.

Great Location for explore old town Phuket! Lots of bars and cafes nearby. Hosts were very nice and helpful, the hostel is not a social one so great for people who need some quiet time and want to relax. Not a party hostel or too loud. Rooms were clean, showers and toilets, too. Recommend bringing your own water.

What an awesome place to live at!

Great spot! Convenient location in the Old Town, easily walkable to many restaurants. I stayed in a single room and it was very comfortable, had a desk and AC. Not a terribly social hostel but everyone I met was nice. The manager Anna is very nice and helpful. I felt safe as a solo female, main door locks and so do the room doors. Great hostel!
