It was an amazing experience, if you do the Fraiser tour I would definitely recommend staying here the days before or after, they give great recommendations for activities on the island and the staff is really nice and helpful, especially meike helped me out a lot. The price is really good and if you like nature they have plenty of trees and plats in the outdoor area where you can lay in a chair and enjoy your morning coffee. Loved it! 💕

Tour: worth every penny, shout-out to Cory who was an absolute legend and looked out for us in every way (group 166)! amazing experiences and met some great people- if you're thinking of doing it at all, please do! Hostel: no idea why this gets bad reviews as I was expecting filth but got clean rooms and facilities for a much better price than next door. great staff too, homey feeling! great location right next to the intercity bus stop too

Terrible hostel, had to stay in the middle hut and couldn't sleep because of the noise. Staff knows about this but don't care. It was also dirty and not well maintained. Worst hostel I've stayed.

I stayed here for one night in the shared tent. The tent itself was fine and to be expected. The kitchen was absolutely disgusting - needs way more attention. This is the worst hostel I stayed in in my month in Aus

Pippies was very social, and was a great overnight stop. However, a lot of the facilities were ran down.

Perfect location, friendly stuff, fair price. Only the kitchen could be a little bigger and the hostel was not made for the pouring rain that we were facing due to the cyclone

Best “budget” hostel on the east coast. Vibe was 10/10, the location was amazing with the greyhound/ flix bus stop right outside! The people were amazing, the staff were amazing. Not one fault! 5 min walk to the beach, few minute walks too shop/ cafes. The hostel wasn’t busy with people, everyone was friendly. Couldn’t have had a better experience. The bedrooms were a little out dated however you were hardly in it. Will be back.

Nice hostel with nice facilities and comfortable beds. Not very social at all but did the job for one night. Receptionists were lovely.

Kitchen was an absolute tip, everything was dirty and stained, stove is so old and when lighting with a lighter it hardly ever stays on, bathrooms were dirty every time you went into them, seems like they just don’t care about the well fair or state of the facilities.

Good if on a budget but i wouldnt stay here again. My room was basically in the kitchen which was strange and could hearpeople through the walls all night. only one charger in room, thankfully i had an adaptor everyone could use. also dryer didnt dry clothes. Staff weren't very enthusiastic. I would recommend spending extra and stay next door at Freedom

One of my Favorite hostels in Australia so far. Friendly and helpful staff, Kitchen was very well equipped (Blender, french press, bialetti). Too bad that some people don’t respect the quiet hours in the kitchen.

Stayed both before and after my K’gari tour in the tent. Room was alright and beds were comfortable. The indoor spaces are great, but limited if raining. Location is very convenient for the tours and the bus. Easy to walk to locations in the area.

Nice little stop off point on the way up the East Coast, especially if you’re planning to visit K’gari. Very basic hostel, small rooms (but air con!), kitchen was a reasonable size but a bit dirty, and the cooking utensils had seen better days. Atmosphere was great, we met some great people!

Sink blocked in private accom. Had to walk 5 mins from main hostel to stay in our private accom which was essentially a separate small house. Nice to stay, but would be a drawback if you were here to socialise.
