Baleal Guest House

Phantastic place with great atmosphere! I was there for the second time and again really enjoyed. Thanks to Bruno, Claudia and the lovely team! Looking forward to my next vacation in Baleal!

Een goed surf hostel. Alles is super chill, het strand is 10 minuten lopen. Een gezellige sfeer en het hostel is schoon.

great place, good vibes and perfect location

The hostel has some positive aspects: it is clean, the volunteers are friendly, and the kitchen is well equipped. However, the stay was made very uncomfortable by the extreme cold in all buildings. Rooms and common areas were cold and damp, and heating was not used. On the first night, rain leaked through a window, soaking the bed sheets, and I had to sleep there another night before changing rooms. It’s a shame because the extreme cold takes away the positive aspects of the hostel.

Cold, damp hostel. In the kitchen, the number of working stoves progressively decreased as you used them. The volunteers are friendly and the hostel is clean thanks to their efforts, but they show zero consideration for guests when they play music until early morning, disturbing everyone even after being told off. Additionally, I found one of them sleeping on the sofa early in the morning when I wanted to sit down. When I asked why they were sleeping there, I was told that there is mold in the ...

Good location and atmosphere, also thanks to the hostel staff, but I changed hostel after 2 nights as the 5-bed dorm (even if I booked a 4-bed dorm) was not comfortable due to: (i) cold temperature, I had to sleep with a sweatshirt and hat and I would still be cold in my legs; (ii) humidity, I would wake up with the sheets a little wet. Also the shared bathroom was cold, humid and not perfectly clean. So I would strongly advise to install dehumidifiers, external heaters and increase cleanline...

Amazing stay at this hostel! The staff is always nice and welcoming, the rooms are clean and there is everything you need

I would rate it 5/5 but the beds in room 4 were super shitty, while the other beds were really comfortable. Also would be cool to have some small activities to get to know other people in the hostel. Was not the most social vibe there. But overall a nice hostel :)

Es super zentral und schön gelegenes Hostel in einem süßen Örtchen :) Uns hat alles super gefallen, die Mitarbeitenden waren sehr freundlich und die Sauberkeit war auch zu vollster Zufriedenheit! Gerade diee kleine familiäre haben wir super entspannt und wholesome gefunden, daher würde ich es immer wieder weiterempfehlen :) Gerne wieder!

Lovely small cosy hostel located 5minutes walk from the local beaches. The vibe from the hostel is perfect, great friendly staff I cannot fault the place.

Great little hostel, clean and quiet, staff were friendly. Places available to store your surfboards and wetsuits, and the kitchen was organized. Only thing was the lockers under the beds weren't very big so I couldn't fit my bag in and the front door was always open so security could be improved a bit. Still a great hostel overall though.

Gernot and Michelle are the best!!! Was only planning to stay 3 nights but ended up staying 10. Super clean, super chill people, right by the beach. See ya next year!

Freundliches Personal und sehr guter Service. Die Menschen dort waren alle sehr nett und man kann dort gut kochen.

It was very clean, the kitchen facilities were very good, and had enough food storage. Good location. We were on the top floor, and the wifi did not work in our room. The picture when booking showed a dorm with 2 bunk beds with curtains, but the room had 4 low single beds instead. The lockers were not big enough to store our bags. Also the lock box for the front door would not open, and we had to wake someone up at 3 am to let us in.

Das Guesthouse hat eine mega Atmosphäre mit sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiterinnen und Gästen. Zudem liegt es gleich am Strand und im Zentrum von Baleal. Es ist ruhig genug, aber gleichzeitig immer etwas los. Genau richtig :)

Great place in a good location. Was really cold at night, though. Most hostels I’ve been at have plug-in radiators in the rooms.

Nice spot, close the beach and supermarket with really friendly staff. Nice outdoor area in the backyard and inside is cosy.

There was very little vibe at this place and the staff did nothing to bring people together or provide opportunities for shared experiences. Bunkbeds were very flimsy and I got only about 4hrs sleep per night due to the rocking and squeaking bed, no aircon, and one repeatedly loud guest who had received several complaints. Location is great for Baleal, cliffs, beaches and supermarket. Theres only one small shared space at this guest house but if you do meet people, there are plenty of other bars...
