The Backpacker Hostel & Spa

The bed and sheets were clean, but there were no shelves or hooks so you had to sleep on your phone, kindle and valuables. The communal areas were filthy. I put a glass on the bar and when I came back 4 hours later it was still there. a nice enough hostel! staff were lovely & rooms were nice however the floor of the toilet next to our room was gross and its a bit far from the main city and also the beach. however they have a free shuttle service to the beach in the morning and the night markets in the evening so thats good we made use of this :) also have free bikes but they are very dodgy

This has been my favourite hostel so far! It’s so clean and well taken care of the staff are amazing, especially LƯU ĐÌNH THOẠI. The location was also great

I booked a private room, and overall everything was fine. Given the hostel’s rating, I expected a slightly higher standard of cleanliness: the shower was extremely moldy, the showerhead hose was dirty, the bracket holding the showerhead was broken or poorly installed, there was no water pressure in the shower, and the sink faucet was broken. The room definitely hadn’t been cleaned when I checked in; the floor was dusty or dirty. The building could really use some attention or some TLC!

The bed was really comfy with great curtains but there was black mould in the room, lots of construction so the pool area wasn’t very relaxing (it’s also really small and no chairs around it to relax on) however the staff were very kind and they accommodated a late check out. Thanks for the stay!

They have a good offering for tours however, the facilities were not great. The beds are extremly hard, the female dorm is not locked. The food is disgusting and not worth the money. The towels smell like damp. The spa they reference is under referbishment (this was not made clear on hostelworld).

Staff were very unfriendly and appeared to be annoyed by your presence, laughing in your face. Location very far from the nice beaches and social streets. In the room I had to walk sideways to get to my bed because there was so little space and my backpack (55L) wouldn’t even fit in the locker so I had to sleep next to it on my bed since there was also no room on the floor. Good value hostel and near the beach

It’s in the middle of nowhere. Mould everywhere. Beds and showers were fine. The pool is more of a bath and no real atmosphere at the bar.

Tragic. Easily the worst hostel I’ve stayed at. Literally nothing going on. No atmosphere and no social events. Staff didn’t seem to care or make effort for these things. Facilities also pretty poor, for a hostel, should have some basic amenities like a decent social area, bar, and some food. Didn’t have these.

Mold dripping from ceiling of bedroom and bathroom dirty water falling on you when on the toilet. Cleaners coming in and making lots of noise at 7am. A 50+ year old man staying in my room making loud snores and grunts in the night and throwing up loudly with the door open. Staff seemed nice and beds were fairly comfy.

Probably my least favorite hostel I’ve been to . Dorms are tiny, pool is dirty , staff is pretty rude in general. Gave me a bunk with a broken curtain and said they couldn’t do anything about it

Nothing like the photos, we arrived and were put into two separate dorms even though I booked one 6 bed dorm so expected them to have one available for us. Zero atmosphere and the were cockroaches in the room. Do not come here

The staff are really lovely and the bed of really comfortable. Not too social and kinda far out of the main beach and city but I still enjoyed staying there !!

pictures didn’t really reflect the standard at which the hostel was at. facilities are great - free bikes for rent however there are very few, i believe around 3/4. quite far away from the ’main’ part of the city which is nice as it is quiet but quite far to get anywhere. beds are comfortable however and deals are always being advertised
