Jumba Hostel

very fun old building. bring ear plugs and eye mask. never met Pinar but there was plenty of communication. no social events but easy enough to meet and people on the terrace or in the sitting room

I had a lovely stay at Jumba! It is located in a safe and vibrant area of Istanbul, very close to the centre. The staff were so accommodating and helpful, allowing me to make last minute arrangements to my booking and storing my luggage after checkout. I will be back!

The hostel is very nice deocrated. Not like a hodtel but a place you geel you belong to the place. Staff was friendly and nice. Self check in istructions were quite easy . Will come back again :)

très bon séjour , un peu dommage de pas avoir croisé les personnes du lieu . mais si vous êtes pour quelques que vous dormez facilement ( quartier bruyant surtout le samedi )

Very sweet hostel, the location was great and organization also super easy. The staff was very helpful and quick to answer any question through WhatsApp. We were there in January during slow season and the hostel was quite empty, which was fine for us but could be lonely for someone else. We would definitely come back!

Loved my stay at Jumba! My room was so beautiful I kept extending my stay, and it was always seamless and friendly to communicate with the managers to do so. Check-in is easy and the location is unbeatable. I have been and will be back :)

we had a Amazing experience

Overall, the hostel was relatively inexpensive and suited most of my needs. Paying in cash was a challenge but the host was kind and understanding. There were multiple power outages and the facilities didn’t feel very secure. The biggest downside for me was that the WiFi was not strong in my room and I ended up have to use a lot of data as a result. Beyond that, things were clean and access to laundry was a plus.

Overall good host, good vibe, great people. Couple of downsides - The property only accepts cash while it is not mentioned on the HostelWorld page (nowhere I could find). This is a bummer for foreign travelers. The dorm was not sealed. You hear noise from the road outside all night long. This was super inconvenient.

Excellent hostel!

My friend and I had a wonderful stay in this hostel, it has everything you need and is perfectly situated to explore Istambul. The hostel is in a historic building and had a bohemian charm, the interior decorating matches this. I would be happy to recommend Jumba hostel to friends in the future.

Jumba is a very cozy and warm hostel with great rooftop views of the city. The caretakers were so kind and treated us well. Unfortunately the noise from cars and people outside becomes intolerable, especially on the weekends. This isn’t a fault of the hostel itself, just a mix of the property being an old building and near one of the busier centers of the city. I recommend, however, bring earphones if you’d like to sleep!
