Second Home Hostel

Absolutely unmatched location right by Hodjapasha and walking distance from all major attractions. Memo was extremely helpful with local recommendations, tips, helpful insights and arranging travel for us. We researched a lot before our trip but his tips turned out to be most useful for us. We couldn’t have chosen a better stay for our short trip to Istanbul.

This hostel was awesome! The people and the vibes were great and so was Faruq! Definitely recommend the boat party and the pub crawl was my favourite thing in Istanbul and faruq did an amazing job at making sure everyone had a fun time.

I love Faruk

I chose this hostel because of the high reviews (9.8), but I was very disappointed on arrival. The place is dated and poorly maintained. I slept in a cold, smelly basement that couldn’t be locked. Under the bed was filthy, with dust and dirt as if it hadn’t been cleaned for months. Overall, not spotless. For a third of the price, it might be acceptable. Paying around €30 per night felt frustrating. The staff, at least, was kind.

I would love to stay their agin , its a great hostel and Faruk, yousof and Khalil were the best

Farouk was fun

I had a good stay here. Good location right in the heart of the Golden Horn, so close to the metro and so many places. I also met lots of cool people, there's a good rooftop social space where people get together and they host the regular family dinner. A couple of the staff were really nice too, especially the younger ones. The hostel itself is clean and well equipped. The bed was comfy and shower decent. It wasn't cheap for a hostel and they are keen to sell you tours etc but obv optional.

This place was great. The location was convenient and walkable. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The family dinner and pub crawl were definitely highlights of our stay (shoutout to Faruk for showing us around and a great time!) Would highly recommend staying here!

Amazing hostel, super clean and you feel right at home. The staff are exceptional. I only stayed one night but wish I could stay for longer

Everything was really good, and the communication was great with Farouk. Any help or advice ask the team in the place and you get the help you need!

The two things that really stand out are the location and the staff! I was there during low season so was kind of missing the social vibe but the staff really tried to bring everyone together by organising hostel dinners and pub crawls
