Castle Hostel

individual owner very friendly and kind. the place is very clean and it seems updated from the last time I was there.

The only complaint I have is the cleanliness of the hostel, when I arrived the kitchen was extremely dirty and the fridge smelled like there was something rotting inside of it. Also there were a lot of random nails on the windowsill.

Convenient location, reasonable rates and the owner is incredibly helpful and kind. I was very comfortable during my stay.

7/10 It has utensils and gadgets (toaster, microwave, oven, air fried). But it's two pretty messy and dirty kitchens. Mouldy bread or dead cucumber on the shelf with few fruit flies. What is really missing and would make a difference is a deep clean and then giving guest labels to mark their food, keeping the fridge organised and have a section for free food, so opened condiments and milk don't go bad. Nice free laundry and dryer available and we liked the ensuite bathroom.

I would happily return, despite late noise from the street &/or local eatery when in a room on that side. Friendly, considerate host. A short walk into town. Handy for the bus and train station, start of the Kerry Camino, and library. Benners Hotel across the road is a great place to eat, drink and pass time in its bar, restaurant &/or reception.

L'établissement est bien placé dans la ville. Il y a un parking pas trop loin ainsi qu'un supermarché. La cuisine est bien équipée ainsi que la laverie.

The owner of the hostel was the best. He was super frienly, helpful and consconsiderate. Thanks so much for everything!

Booked the deluxe double room which was far from deluxe. No window in the room (only in the bathroom), lamp on the desk not working, mattress and bed very old and not comfortable. Basically, 100€ per night isn't really worth it but it was the only available so I can't complain. Michael was a kind lovely man, very helpful.

Très bel hébergement avec un accueil très sympathique. Les chambres sont agréables, la propreté irréprochable. Très bon rapport qualité prix. On aurait souhaité rester plus longtemps.

we stayed 2 nights at castle hostel. all clean and tide, very spacious and comfortable. we were happy to have the possibility to do laundry in the hostel.

Très bon accueil de Michael qui nous a accueilli avec nos velos, et qui nous a permis de rester l'après-midi en attendant le train. Petite auberge très bien équipée.

Excellent stay 🛌

The hostal has everything one needs: washing machines,, dishwasher, tele, good kitchen equipment. Immediate hot water in the showers. The hostel is near the pubs and city center. Rooms are perfectly clean. The caretaker / owner comes when you call him. Very good service. I really enjoyed my stay.

Castle Hostel is a nice and clean hostel. The host is very friendly and helpful. The kitchen has a lot of facilities. It feels very safe. Our room was nice and spacious only the bathroom was a bit too small for the price we paid. Castle Hostel is a really nice hostel and I would certainly recommend it - only the price for a private room was too much.

It was simply an amazing experience! Michael, the owner and host, is a great person who made our stay in Tralee unforgettable.
