Holiday Hostel

I am very happy to book this place. It has a perfect location in South Thamel, just 10-13 minutes walk from Kathmandu Durbar Square. There are many restaurants, shops, even a small local market nearby. I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm on 4th floor. The room was bright and comfortably sized (enough places for the luggages). The 2 bunkbeds are comfortable, bedsheet is clean. The cleaning lady came every day to clean and did great job. There's hot water. Ask for the locker keys from the reception.

super kind people, perfect place to stay

The day I arrived the host took me personally to the shops, and cooked me a meal because I said I was hungry. Nepalese people are so nice, the host most definitely included. I highly recommend staying!

Mi estancia en Holiday Hostel ha sido fantástica! El personal es muy atento y está muy limpio. Arriba tienen una zona para descansar muy bonita y con servicio de bar-restaurante que está bastante bien. Sin duda repetiré!

The only USP of this hostel is the location, other than that it is average. The dorm rooms are quite cramped and did not have a fan. I also had to ask for toilet paper at the reception every day, as the cleaning lady would not replace it while cleaning. The room floors as well were not cleaned everyday, and the cleaning staff would change duvet covers on the dirty floor, and then place them on the bed. No laundry service, no communal space to socialise. Will not visit again.

Perfect location, lovely staff, great rooms.

Nice stay, friendly staff, hot shower, clean and comfortable. Also have travel agency and they can organise all treks around also to Tibet and Bhutan. Definitely can recommend them.

super clean, amazing staff, great amenities, nice rooftop area and perfect location! also hot showers! which is something hard to find stayed 4 days and will definitely be back here when i come back to Kathmandu

Good location to explore Thamel. We also could easily and safely leave our stuff during our Langtang trek. Dahnyabat!

Completely fine. Not the bedst bunkbeds, and no curtains. But there is a lovely cafe and rooftop. Good central location. Nice staff.

Stayed here 3 times in total before and after trekking. Very nice staff who are always ready to help you, all clean, cosy rooftop with good and affordable food and also possible to book trekkings here. Overall perfect place to stay if you are in Kathmandu:)

Everything was amazing! Bathroom is inside the room which is super comfy super recommended.

The bathrooms and beds are clean. The rooftop bar is a nice place to chill out and offers breakfast that isn’t too pricey. There weren’t a lot of people staying there when i was there so there was no proper social vibe but that might be due to the off season. Another nice spot to chill and meet people would be nice. The staff was friendly and helpful :)

Very comfortable stay at holiday hostel! I stayed at the female dorm. The dorm rooms are clean and comfy beds with a large warm cover. There is an outlet and night light at each bed and a locker for each bed inside the room too. It’s located perfectly in the middle of lively Thamel, even then inside the room it is peaceful and quiet you do not hear the hustle and bustle from outside. The rooftop restaurant is cute and cozy. The staff are friendly and helpful. I will come back for sure.
