Clean rooms, situated in a nice area very close to the big stupa, and pretty close to other nice temples and monasteries. A lot of good food and nice cafes nearby. Amazing and very helpful receptionist

If you are looking for the maximum convenience to the monasteries at Boudanath and at the cheapest price, then this is probably one of the best places for that. The dorm rooms are right over Karma Coffee with a little spiral staircase dropping down into the coffee shop. Utpala Cafe is around the corner. The big white monastery is across the street. They do meditation seminars there. The stupa is a short walk away. Tibetan culture everywhere. And this is one of the most affordable beds…...

Utpala is a great place in a wonderful location. The staff's very friendly & glad to help in anyway. It's a very easy (3 min) downhill walk 2the Stupa. Utpala has fine affordable dining right next door + many dining places, stores & shops very near. Nearly every night monks serenade neighborhood with Tibetan horns & mantras. Utpala's owners (monastery) are not wealthy, but are steadily making improvements. The place is kept clean & hot showers = always available. Thank you Utpala Ent. & HW!!

schönes neu renoviertes Hostel. Für nepalesische Hostelstandards sehr sauber insbesondere für diesen Preis. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Leider scheint die Buchung auf website nicht zu funktionieren und die Daten sind nicht mehr aktuell. Bei Ankunft wusste niemand über meine Reservation Bescheid, was aber kein Problem war, da genug Betten da waren. Ein Bett im Schlafsaal kostet aktuell 500 Rupien pro Nacht. Hostel sehr empfehlenswert, für Reservation besser direkt kontaktieren.
