You pay for one thing and end up receiving something else. I booked and paid for a 6-bed dormitory but was placed in an 8-bed dorm instead. The owner, ironically an Indian himself, seems to distrust fellow Indians. I was asked for the rent the moment I moved in. The caretaker is hardly around and is often unavailable. The hostel mates and the view, that’s all.
